"Tomorrow, she embarks on a difficult journey. She goes to help those in need, to lead those who have lost their way. We will miss her terribly. But we know she will return to us." Everyone raised their glasses. "To Luna Nova!" I felt tears prick my eyes but blinked them back. The banquet continued with music and conversation. But eventually, people began to retire for the night.

Recon only. This is not a rescue mission until we know what we are up against. We can’t risk losing more men before the eclipse.”

Hope slowly turned around. “Where am I?” A familiar voice answered. “Home.” Hope froze. She knew that voice. She turned. Luna stood behind her. “Mama?” Luna smiled. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Hope rushed into her arms. Luna laughed softly. “What happened to you?” Hope held her tighter. “I thought I lost you.” “You never lost me.” Hope pulled away. Something was wrong. Luna looked exactly as she remembered her. But Hope couldn’t feel any power around her.
