Louisa May Alcott 8 Cousins Novels & Stories

“I guess we still like you. Even though you want nothing but to see us dead.” He ran a hand through his hair, gripping the strands until his knuckles went white. “I want to hate you enough to kill you, dear cousin. I want to feel nothing when I think of your name. But here I am, harder than I’ve been in years, because I want to fuck you more than I want to kill you.”

Fiona replied in an annoyed tone "Uncle Daniel, Aunt Penelope, Your other uncles Adam, Ulysses and Kyle along with...lets see Oh! Your Aunt's, too. Can't forget about them. Jasmine, Dana and Rosa!" "Aunt Rosa!?" The Harrison children whined. "And your cousins, along with a few family friends and their families. They are all excited to meet you so I expect you all to be on your most respectful behavior." Elizabeth raised her hand. "Yes Elizabeth?" "Mom, we have a lot of cousins...a lot. That's more than seventy people all together." Patrick glared at Elizabeth "We are all pretty aware of that, math genius. I think the true question is, is dad coming?"

Along with her sister. “But Ilkay is really very nice. So are Logan and Jackson and Axel and Damion and Alejandro. They are all such sweet boys.” My jealousy evaporates. At least I’m at the top of her list. “I think all my cousins are cool,” Lili says calmly, her tablet now on her lap. “Even Luke.” River halts for a moment and lets out a peeved snort. Yep, the little guy is done for as soon as puberty strikes. “Charlotte thinks Alejandro is gorge … ji … ous,” Leyla struggles with the word.

You will enjoy it enormously. Your cousin Lena lives here too, most days. She has dark hair and your grandmother's alertness and an opinion about everything, which at her age is expressed primarily through pointing and volume. She is going to be formidable. I suggest being her ally early. There are aunts — Nora and Iris, who arrived at this family through routes that would take the rest of this document to explain and are among the most quietly extraordinary people I have ever met. Nora will give you very sensible advice. Iris will give you better advice that sounds less sensible. Listen to both.

“If I had known… I wouldn’t have let Richard come between us.” They held hands. They cried together. I cried silently. Then my mother asked of her children, her twin girls that I wasn’t so familiar with but had only seen in pictures. “Charlotte is in school and also modeling. Taylor is pursuing her acting career. She was in Los Alamos to shoot last month. I’m not even aware of their movements that much, I only know what they tell me. Those adults are as free as birds now.” My mum chuckled. As I watched them speak, a part of me hoped I could meet my cousin sisters’ soon. I heard they were twenty one. Aunt Alice got married before my mum and Richard.

Lucius was quiet for a moment before he answered, but by the time he answered, I already knew the answer. “I met her cousins and her father’s sister because he couldn’t make it to the wedding, but that’s not the point, Alisha.” What a joke. I would’ve known if I had an auntie unless Uncle Daniel had a secret daughter and sister that my family didn’t know about. “Then what’s the point if you haven’t met Daniel Ross? I thought you were smart, Lucius, but maybe I was mistaken. It’s such a pity that you’re being taken for a ride and you can’t see it.”

The important thing was being together with her family. That alone was enough. After dinner, Cody led her upstairs. Following behind them were three of her Langford cousins. Each of them looked at Rue with obvious curiosity and interest. Jace Langford flashed a mischievous grin. “Our little cousin looks so sweet and adorable. I just want to hug her.” Miles Langford immediately glared at him. “She belongs to all of us, not just you. Don't even think about monopolizing her.” Mason Langford, meanwhile, studied Rue with open admiration.

Just! The full answer took some time, as the invisible ghost of Ann Marie Blotter named them all and I looked them up in the family tree. Jeez! I’d been right when I’d felt it was like sharing the house with half a dozen people! By the time we were done, I’d learned I was living with Mrs. Ann Marie Blotter, her son Edward, his grandchild Joseph, Joseph’s daughter Lizzie and Joseph’s twin cousins, Charlotte and Charles. Those last two had died in their seventies, hardly weeks apart, of natural causes and away from the Manor. But, for some reason, they’d chosen to return to the Manor as six-year-old children. They were the ones I’d hear giggling and coming with me for a stroll in the woods to

“When my dear cousin needed someone to stain her fiancé’s reputation after he dumped and humiliated her, I just had to use you. It was a win-win for both of us. She would have her revenge and I would make your life miserable.” “Your cousin. Laura is your cousin?!” I gawked at her. Alice had said a lot of shocking things, but I never would have thought she and Laura were cousins. I had concluded she was hired or something, but definitely not that family ties were involved. The story just got crazier. “Yeah, yeah. That’s not the main issue.” She waved her hand, brushing away my surprise.

' I grunted, but I smiled at the thought of my cousin, Alexa. I had two female cousins, Alexa and Anya. And I adored both at the same level until Amara came along, Alexa’s daughter, who is now eight years old. Anya had yet to give me a niece. She had male pups too. And so was Sebastian, my only male cousin. I had five male nephews and just one niece, so Amara was definitely the princess of the family. I spoke for a while to the man in charge and commended him for a good harvest this month before I asked for a lift for anyone crossing to the other side of the territory.
