AVINA'S POV It's a beautiful Saturday morning. I've been enjoying every day with Carter after the visit to my parent's house. Last week, he planned a surprise for me with his friend and his secretary. It was amazing. It was a dinner date at a restaurant rooftop, my favourite restaurant. I never knew this man paid attention to details about me.

I was very angry and upset on what they did to me and I would never forgive them for this but deep down I wished them to come soon to get me out of this hell. The man opened the door of the limo and I looked inside. It was wonderful. I never rode a limo in my life, its my first time. My excitement turned into nervousness as I saw the man sitting like a king with a cigarette in his hand. I stepped inside without wasting time and took my seat.

He had impatiently replied, "Why should we celebrate Christmas too? You're so ridiculous." I admit that I had been gaslit at the time, especially after I had just seen the luxury jewelry set worth over nine million dollars in his suit pocket. But now, Melissa was wearing that exact same jewelry set. At my silence, Yves climbed into bed and wrapped his arms around me, pressing his lips against mine.

She walks past me out of the kitchen, and I let out a heavy breath. I hear heavy footsteps leaving the kitchen, causing my eyes to drift curiously.
