Love In The Game

Love In The Game

"Don't you dare leave me again!" said Claire curtly. "Well, then let's find a place to spend the night," Leon replied with a timid smile. He then helped Claire to her feet. Claire's body ached in several places, such as an arm. She felt so tired and she remembered that she hadn't slept at all. After finding her lover cheating on her in the middle of the night, Claire was trapped in an old house, and now she is trapped in a game. What a bad day.

If Only He Knew | cσмρℓεтε∂

My lips parted in heavy breathing just as his hands on my back moved further my spine, roaming and grazing the sides of my bare breasts and I was reminded of the fact that he knew I wasn't wearing a bra! Was he just pretending to love me or did he really... Was it all fake for him and so real for me!!? Am I the only one who is receiving his touches thinking of him as my love and my husband!? Was he touching me, expecting me to moan and cry his name as his wife!? Or maybe something else... No way! That can't be! Once again I was hoping for more when I should just be happy with what I am getting at present! But.. Is it all, just a game for him? A plan? A game which already guarantees his victo

This book is so good, it makes you want to laugh, keeps you at suspense and makes you emotional at the same time. Loved the characters, each have drastic original personalities. Though the book started kind of simple and too cliche at first, it turned out to be one of my favorite reads on GoodNovel!

Love and Lust (Hamartia Trilogy Book 2)

Love and Lust (Hamartia Trilogy Book 2)

I'd gladly shoot the ones who'll tell her otherwise. I busied myself by answering some emails as I sit on the couch in the Great Room, trying my best not to bother the people going back and forth to decorate. It was coming to life now, the wedding. Several flowers and lace and lights. I should feel sick to my stomach now, knowing that in less than three days, I'd be a married man, be Boss of two business, and have Mari as my wife, have her enemies as mine, and mine as hers. It wasn't scary though. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I know that this marriage is real. Somewhere deep inside the rubble of distrust and hate, bad history and vendettas, Mari and I have something real. Sure we might

The Lover in the Closet

The Lover in the Closet

Instead of going home, I strolled aimlessly along the streets, stopping several times even though it was a short walk. Tristan and I had our first date at Heavenly Delights, a dessert parlor. He had wiped the cream from the corner of my lips before leaning down to kiss me. His hands were covered in scratches after he carved a wooden boat for me at the crafts store. He had hoped that the boat would help me sail toward a bright future. "Luna." I stiffened before turning around. Tristan was standing nearby. He pulled his cap lower as he approached me. "I thought I might find you here," he said as he pressed a hand to my forehead. "The fever's gone. Good."

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

she said, “a truth.” The cards around her hands spun faster, churning in the dark water until they blurred into a single smear of color. Then they snapped into place in a neat row: Death. The Tower. The Magician. The Lovers—reversed. Of course. Her finger tapped each card in turn, little vibrations sending ripples through the liquid. “You are a Key Author,” she said, voice gone low and resonant. “Your stories built the bones of this game. Your heart gives it blood. As long as you fear love, it will feed.”

This game they were both playing is a very dangerous game. And Lola's first move, the kiss, had just blurred all the lines between hate and desire.

The Marriage Game: love in a lie.

The Marriage Game: love in a lie.

“I did no such thing, and mind your business.” She threw her hands up in mock surrender. “Alright. But you need to give me details of what happened? Are you guys together now?” I opened the chips. “No, we’re not. I told him I’ve forgiven but I need time to think about us.” “What’s there to think about? You love him and he loves you, end of story. You get to have your happily ever after.” “Might need to lay low on the amount of romance novels you read, you’re becoming too imaginative.”

Frequently Asked Questions

The version of 'Lovers Game' I watched felt like someone took a quiet, clever novel and gave it neon lights and heartbeat-synced pacing. At its core, the premise is simple: strangers sign up for a high-stakes social experiment called the Lovers Game, where pairs are matched and put through challenges that probe trust, memory, and desire. Our main pair—one guarded, one impulsive—start out as a contrived match but slowly peel back each other's walls. What I loved is how the plot mixes romance with a slow-burning mystery: whispers about why the game exists, flashbacks to participants' lives, and an undercurrent that the organizers are testing more than just chemistry.

The show trims some side chapters from the book—several supporting players get less screentime—but it leans into visual storytelling: lingering shots of hands almost touching, the oppressive symmetry of the game hall, and a synthy score that made my chest tighten. There's a midpoint twist where you learn the game isn't only for entertainment; it's a social experiment tied to a tech company trying to quantify love. The climax keeps the moral ambiguity intact: one choice frees them but costs truth, the other preserves honesty but fractures relationships. I walked away thinking about how romantic choices can be framed as competitions, and how the adaptation smartly balances spectacle with quiet moments.
