Lowest Wolf Rank Novels & Stories

It has been three long days since that dreadful day when Jake put me under house arrest. I haven't seen anyone—not even Cathy or Sophie. I kind of missed them, and it's crazy that I also missed Jake, really badly. Maybe it's the mate pull. I’ve been stuck in my room, Googling about wolves, werewolves, and witches. I learned quite a lot, actually. I learned about mates, the bond, and that the Alpha is the leader of a pack. He has a Beta, who is second in command, and a Gamma, who is third in command. The pack also has higher-ranked wolves like the Delta, Zeta, Eta, Theta, Epsilon, and the Luna, who is the Alpha’s mate. Unfortunately, I also learned that packs have lower-ranked werewolves know

the beta says, looking at the two boys who are looking at me like I grew another head. "Remember when we said there's two grey wolves and one white one?" alpha Aiden asks. "Yes, alpha," River answer him, he's much bigger, he's almost the size of an adult wolf while I stayed my small self. "White wolves are special wolves, only six of them exist, do you know why they are super important to the pack?" alpha Rowan explains. "They are omegas? Well, what's left of them," River says, and the beta nods proudly, he must have explained that to them during the classes.

Sean growled. “But that’s how our hierarchy works,” Johnny said, sounding unsure. “By strength?” Adina asked. “Yes. The alpha is the strongest. He gets the highest rank and can sit around all day doing nothing, to the ordinary wolves like us. We have to do most of the work to support the alpha and the pack. The only one lower than us are the omegas and women,” he explained. “Your father told you this?” Sean asked. Johnny nodded. Adina was too stunned to say anything.

My jaw dropped, but I quickly gathered my bearings to see what on earth is going on. The brown wolf strikes again, this time at the largest of them all. It was a black and brown wolf who snarled the loudest. His growl so deep and profound it shook the earth beneath my paws. No wolf had the ability to ignite such a reaction from nature other than a ranked wolf. Alpha, possibly even beta.

"The only reason you're here with me is because you're an Omega. Only Omegas have what's compatible with making a wolf hunter." He stared at me, jaw tight. "Omegas are always and will always be on the lowest rank of the wolf hierarchy," I continued. "It can't change. As long as we remain wolves, it will always be that way. And every pack treats your kind as less." I paused, watching his face. "But I can only imagine what it's like in a place like the North, where power and preserving bloodlines is everything." I sighed, looking at him with mock sympathy. "Please. Tell me something else."

“We wolves belong to packs, and those who do not belong to any pack are called rogues. These rogues are the ones that attacked Arkans, where you’ve been hiding...” Logan was impossibly close, and I couldn’t breathe properly as I tried to avoid inhaling his air. “Each pack is headed by an alpha, the highest rank in every wolf pack. Neil Morreti selfishly wants that rank for himself, and to secure it, he needs you. He needs to mark you by biting into your neck and claiming you. But in the long run, he’ll surely reject you. He’ll go as far as killing anyone that stands in his way, and Adelia, unfortunately, is one of those victims.”

I also got a better view of his Wolf Mark, as I hadn’t seen much of it under the collar of his shirt last night. It was of a howling wolf head with a paw print wrapped around it. His Mark was black, as most Alpha wolves had. There was a color rank to a mark, with black at the top of the list. The next was red, followed by blue, green, orange, and yellow.

It will wear off within a week. If it were normal wolves, such marking wears off in a day but I wasn't just a wolf. I am an Alpha wolf, a Lycan for that matter. If I had marked her by biting her then it would have been a problem for I wouldn't accept anyone other than my dead mate. Lycans are the highest-ranked wolves, higher than even Alphas themselves. You can say they rule over them, in other words, they are the Alpha of Alphas. And since Lycans are rare, they stand as royalty in front of other wolves.

I said to him, trying to make his wolf submit to mine. We were both heirs to the next line of alphas, so our wolves are equals, but in history, northern wolves are much higher in rank than the east. He shrugged, and walked away from the area, and dispersed himself to the deep forest.
