Every drop, every scream, every shadow and you do not face it alone.” Allistair's knees buckled slightly, shaking against the floor, but Lucifer's hands were iron around his, anchoring him, obsessively, possessively, madly. The Book hovered, still thrumming, sensing the containment. Its pages flickered with shadow, whispering soft of destruction, yet it yielded before the power of love that was Lucifer.

“That’s why I could never let you go.” Lucian snarled, stepping between them, his claws gleaming in the eclipse light. “Lies dressed as devotion. He wants to chain you, Serena. Can’t you see? He fears your power because he knows he cannot survive it.” His voice dropped, low and sharp, meant only for her. “But I— I will let you burn this world if you want. And I will burn it with you.” The hybrid wolf growled, shadows spilling from its paws, wrapping around Serena like smoke. Her pulse faltered, torn between Elias’s raw confession and Lucian’s unholy promise.

Curious, I reach for it and brush it off. "Ooh," I gasp. It's not a book about werewolves. It's a hunter’s manual. Frowning, I flip through the pages and notice it’s is filled with gruesome details of how to hunt werewolves, how to kill them, and how to torture them. I glance up at Lucian, arching my brow. "Why would your parents have a book about werewolf hunters?" I ask, thumbing through more of the horrifying pages. Lucian lifts his head briefly to look at me, then lowers it back down to the stack of papers he’s sifting through.

He was moving. Lucifer was moving. Without thinking about anything else Martin ran to Lucifer touching his cheek. "My son. Lucifer." Catelin abruptly ran out to call Trevor and he instantly came to check Lucifer. As soon as they entered the room they saw with how normal yet dark gaze Lucifer was staring at his father. "Dad." He mumbled making Catelin freeze in her place. A wide smile appeared on Trevor's lips realizing. They succeeded in curing him. Truth weighed down on Draven's shoulder, anxiously turning the pages until his eyes caught familiar lines written in italics. Breathing become difficult for him, his hands trembled as book slipped from his hands. His eyes wide opened as he shook his head. "No! No! No ! No! No! No! No!" Lucifer's jaw tensed, his two long strides took him where Draven dropped the book, the book exactly opened on the page where Draven was reading and Lucifer's brows knitted together. "I don't understand." He muttered and Draven swallowed hard. Lucifer's eyes narrowed and nose wrinkled as he read the lines written elegantly in italics.

I hope you enjoyed that short story. It was rather important because it was the beginning of the Supernatural Council, which is mentioned in Book 4. Book 4: The Gamma and her two Alphas follow Princess Lucienne and is set just over 18 years into the future. Lucienne is not entirely happy being a princess and certainly is not all ladylike like her mother, Queen Adriana, wishes she was. In fact, she can be a bit of a rebel at times and pulls no punches if you piss her off.

Lucifer explained. "But, " Lucifer stopped as if thinking something. "But what?" Lucian asked this time. "Lucian is the exception, he is not born vampire by nature. So he can use his abilities which he acquired in the middle" Lucifer said. "Nice" Lucian smirked. "Let's go inside" they pushed the unlocked door open to reveal the room decorated with flowers of different colors. "What's all this for? Don't tell me Assorthan prefers to sleep like this?" Lucian commented.
