“So you were looking out for him, too, huh?’ Lucy said, smiling wickedly at me when I turned back to her. “I… don’t know why he’s always coming back.” “Who cares?!” she whispered, giggling. “He’s exciting and he makes our nights livelier here. Go! I’ll serve Mr. Hotness without pay if he asks me to—job or no job!” I couldn’t help but smile at the lecherous grin on the older woman’s face. Lucy is sweet and always out to play cupid on anybody she cares about. “Okay. If Mr. Langdon thinks it’s okay, I’ll do it. I’ll just finish this one.”

Something was not adding up, and Ellen would get to the bottom of it. A few hours later, they arrived at Aunt Bonnie's house. It was a large White House with a deck that wrapped all the way around. There sat a perfect porch swing and a small black dog sitting on the swing. The dog hardly lifted its head when they arrived. Aunt Bonnie's house was full of books. Shelves and shelves of books all kinds of folklore, grimwars and history books. A few photos of Ellen and different people as Ellen grew up. One picture on the wall stood out to Lucy, she knew the people in the photo, but she didn't know-how. Lucy's parents died when she was only three. She had little to no memory left of them or her l

With the sexual door now kicked wide open, Darlene replied, "I didn't write it, per se. I kind of outlined it and sent it to the author, Casey, and she wrote what you read." "I was going to ask how you came up with Casey as a pen name," Cheryl said. "Have you shared any more of your erotic fantasies with her?" she went on with an alluring smile. "Maybe you could share one with me, right now." "That story wasn't a fantasy, Cheryl. All that really happened to me," Darlene replied before her brain could catch up with her mouth. Cheryl's mouth hung open as Darlene's good-and-proper brain half went scrambling to form a sentence to say that she was just joking.

So you're a big Lovecraft fan? - Definitely. A thousand times more Cthulhu than any shining vampire. - She smiled. — I like some fantasy books. Writers like Laurell K. Hence the different names. Perhaps they don't get along, she thought. Determined to not let this date go sour Lucy continued with a question. "You had asked me a question, but I forgot what it was." "Oh yeah, you said you like writing?" "I love it. It's my dream to write books someday, and I'm hoping a different pace out here may help inspire me to finish a novel." Lucy smiled, crossing her legs she could feel the tension dissipating after Gabriel's uncle had left.

"And thanks? I think?" Lucy, still walking on her treadmill like this was the best entertainment she had gotten in months, let out a loud cackle. "See? Even perfect strangers can tell that Jake was a walking red flag with a tiny dick. Hi, I am Lucy, the best friend who dragged her sorry ass here." Levi chuckled as he released Dalia's hand, but he did not step back. "Nice to meet you, Lucy. And Dalia seriously, you have got that freshly single and dangerous energy. It is working quite well for you."

“In one of my previous lives, I worked at a fabric factory. On the same night that Lucifer murdered me, a fire started in the factory and killed five women. One of them was Lana.” She lifts another sheet. This one is an old journal entry that chronicles several deaths that occurred during the middle ages. “In this one, I was a servant girl at a castle. After I recalled the name of the castle, I researched and found out that the night after Lucifer murdered me, one of the other servant girls was beaten and raped by a group of marauders. During that life, I shared a room with two chambermaids. One of them was Lana, and the other one was Bree. Lana was the one that was killed.”

who had perished a few months before. “He was a right ass to me at the Boudoir,” said Loretta. She threw a snowball at his name. “I wonder if there’s anyone else we hate here,” I said. I meant it as a joke, but Loretta went, “Ooo,” and searched the grave markers. “Ah! That one. Wilbur Wellingsworth. Incubus. Dark Watcher murdered him last summer. I heard he tried to molest his own son, who wasn’t even immortal yet.” She tossed another snowball.

With hands balled into fists, I turned and stormed away. “I’ll make you pay for this, Freya. Mark my words, you’ll regret the day you crossed me.” To be continued... I was deep in thought, debating between iron maidens and brazen bulls, when the library door swung open. "Well, isn't this cozy?" Dad's voice boomed, startling us both. I rolled my eyes. "Ever heard of knocking, Dad?" Lucifer sauntered in, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "My library, my rules, darling." He peered over Sebastian's shoulder. "Ah, the Brontë manuscript.
