I will come get you when it’s over.” When Andre hung up, Lucy searched her memory, she had taken the paper out and went to the location just in case she needed it. She quickly recalled where it was and headed there. She pushed the front door and went inside. “Hey Lucy, glad you could make it, have a seat, get some food.” A man said as he took a seat at the dining table. Lucy took one look at the food and vomited.

she asked. “Well, she lied to me about why Piper was crying. I don’t know what the truth was, but I know she wasn’t crying because kids were being kids.” I plopped myself down at my desk. “Is something going on in the village I don’t know about?” Lucy shrugged. “I haven’t been down there since you were poisoned,” she said. “Brian and I were keeping things together here.” She didn’t say it with any malice, but I still felt bad.

"I have a friend who works at Cooper Ventures. She just told me something huge. It's going to explode in the news any day now. If you're interested, I can tell you." Just like that, everyone was hooked, urging her to spill the story. Lucy curled her lips slightly, forming a half-hearted smile to blend in. But her fingers tightened around her cup, the tips of her knuckles turning pale. Finn glanced down at her hands, about to say something. Lucy entered the room, a relieved smile forming on her face when she saw Adrienne awake. "Oh, thank goodness," she murmured softly, a touch of pity in her voice. She took out the pen drive in haste and hid her laptop along with the pen drive under her pillow. “Come in, brother.” She replied as she lay on the bed, trying to show him that she was asleep.

“I was just making sure. Maybe I got the dates wrong. Or maybe you couldn’t have been pregnant. I just wanted to clear it up. You know, to help me understand.” I let out an awkward laugh, scratching the side of my neck. The sound felt hollow in my ears. She pushed the chicken box closer to me. “Aren’t you going to eat some more? Don’t stop on my account.” I picked up another piece, chewing slowly. The beer fizzed as I popped the can open and sipped. Lucy leaned back against the couch, stretching her legs out. “You know… it’s been hard for me to get another big gig. Only these small companies are reaching out to me now. It has been nothing serious. Nothing worth bragging about.”

Nyssa asked, walking toward her. Lucy grabbed her arm quickly. “Come with me,” she whispered. “Please. Somewhere quiet.” Nyssa followed her to the far end of the training ground. Lucy’s face was pale, her eyes darting around nervously. “What’s wrong?” Nyssa asked. “I heard something,” Lucy said in a rush. “This might really destroy my family.” “What do you mean?” Lucy hesitated, biting her lip. “Fabian and Lillian. They were in her room. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but I heard them talking.”
