I’ll destroy her with my own hands.” Lucy grabbed her expensive handbag and checked her reflection one last time, ensuring her makeup was still flawless. Then her eyes shifted toward the bed, where Kelly, her daughter, was sound asleep hugging her doll. For a fleeting second, a hint of pity crossed Lucy’s face—but only for a moment. Then she turned and walked out, her heart burning with determination. She had barely descended a few steps when her stride came to a halt. At the bottom of the staircase stood Mrs. Bella—her mother-in-law, who had never truly liked her—watching her with a sharp gaze.

He asked her while they're walking down from the cement stairs of the said spot. Lucy wasn't expecting this. She didn't even think that Gale will develop an interest in her. She's a mother of a child who just gave birth to him recently while her man deceived her and ran away back to the states with his wife and let her signed a fake adoption contract. She's not a good catch for him if she will rate herself to be someone's friend or something. Right now, she's not ready to mingle with anyone anymore especially guys and strangers.

'Why does he seem like an easygoing person?' Lucy blinked her large eyes as she stared at Jason curiously. "Little girl, what's your name?' Jason glanced at Lucy. "Lucy Steele," Lucy whispered. "Um, Not bad. Since you're here, just stay! Don't copy her and become a disrespectful person." Jason grunted.

She cut all the videos and watched only a few that had been recorded recently. Lucy watched those videos all the time. When someone knocked on her door, “I am coming in, Little Birdie.” It was Edmund. Lucy panicked. She took out the pen drive in haste and hid her laptop along with the pen drive under her pillow. “Come in, brother.” She replied as she lay on the bed, trying to show him that she was asleep.

“She’s doing this to make us look bad!” I turned as the clatter of hurried footsteps echoed through the hallway. Lucy swept into view, sporting her polished curls and her garishly flamboyant suit. “What in God’s name is going on here?” She demanded. Without a word, I flung the key at the door with a sharp clink. “There,” I nodded at it with my chin, “Your golden boy and his mistress are locked inside together. Go on, let’s see what Mommy Dearest makes of that.”

Catherine blurted out before she could shut her mouth “I don't mean to mock you, I'm only being sincere,” she added and Lucy smiled awkwardly. “Thanks for the compliment, some of my neighbours do say that as well” she added smoothly and Catherine nodded. EVENING Lucy wore her pink maid's uniform pacing around the room she had been waiting for kael for a long while now. she wanted to know what he wanted to say. ‘what does he want to say, maybe just maybe he feels the same way I do’

"Shut up—they’re coming." The door slams open, and the air is punched from my lungs. Professor Lucien strides in, arms raised… and beside him stands his not-so-wife. Blake I spotted her on the side of that empty road like a shadow that had lost its way. Small frame, arms wrapped tight around herself, looking like the night had already chewed her up and was fixing to spit her out. Most women out there at that hour, dressed like that, they’re either waiting on someone or trying to outrun something. Lucy was sitting against the wall, clutching a bottle of liquor, while more than a dozen empty bottles lay scattered haphazardly across the floor. Mr. Sloan felt like he was going to have a heart attack from sheer rage. He strode over and snatched the bottle straight out of her hand. Half drunk, Lucy looked up at him. "Give me back the bottle. Otherwise, I won't be able to see Garrett." Mr. Sloan furiously smashed the bottle onto the floor. "Do you even realize you've been suspended from the company?" "So what if I'm suspended? I don't care who runs the company," Lucy replied indifferently.
