Every laugh felt fake. That was when he noticed Luke. Luke Wilson stood near a table of drinks, laughing loudly at something one of the older men had said. He looked relaxed, almost careless. His jacket was open and his posture loose. He did not look like someone trapped by legacy. Vincent watched him longer than he meant to. Luke noticed. Instead of looking away, Luke smiled and walked over. “You look like you’re planning your escape,” Luke said easily. Vincent frowned. “You don’t know me.”
