"I think you're right Luke. We need at least a parka for you and and a sweater or two. Fine, after school we'll stop by the apartment for jackets." Luke is very excited in the class while studying. He usually doesn't really like to play outside with his friends. Luke is the youngest student in the class, maybe even in the whole school because he is only five years and a few months old, but he is already in the fifth grade of elementary school. His closest friends in age were a quiet boy with thick glasses aged eight and a red-haired girl aged seven and a few months.

I noticed several of them gathering, whispering excitedly. Following their gaze, I saw a man in a sharp suit step out of the front passenger seat and quickly open the back door. It was Luke. He looked striking in his black suit and white shirt, with his slicked-back hair perfectly complementing his face. Luke is tall, about 6'2", and from my angle, his long legs looked incredibly straight and slender. After adjusting his suit swiftly, he walked into the building without glancing around. The man who opened the door followed closely behind.

Morning light was streaming in and the sparkling blue sea was hazy through the sheer white panels shrouding the window. Luke was nowhere to be seen. On his pillow she saw his iPod. There was a note in his masculine left-handed scrawl: Play me. She smiled to herself. Putting the ear buds into her ears, she pressed play. She listened to the song he'd cued up for her, Fall Into Me by Emerson Drive. By the first chorus, tears were rolling down her cheeks. Again. She pressed repeat when it was over.

Someone had connected a speaker, and Morgan Wallen’s voice drifted through the trees like a worn-out prayer. I took a slow sip, feeling the sting of bourbon on my lips and the smoke in my lungs. “You know,” Luke said, glancing over at me, “I thought you were just another influencer when I first saw you.” I smirked. “Ouch.” He held up a hand. “Let me finish. I thought you were just pretty pictures and perfectly filtered van shots. But then you opened your mouth and started talking shit, and I was like—hell, she’s real.”

Seeing that he didn't get a reply within thirty seconds, he placed a call. "Brother, are you deserting me?" Luke spoke wobbly. "Quit being dramatic, don't you want to spend time with mother?" Luuk rolled his eyes. "Oh oh I didn't know it's a part of your genius plan, fill me in on the details, what do I do? I only have five minutes to talk."

I slowly walked down from the stairs and looked at him intensely because he caught my eyes. "Where are you going?" Luke asked. "Dance class." I said as I arrived downstairs, I looked at his friends and landed on the guy that caught my eyes last. He looked at me intensely too. "This is my friend by the way Rose." Luke said. "Sebastian, Kenneth, Jonathan, Chris, Aaron, Sky, Alex and lastly Max." He pointed at them and they just gave me a brief wave. His name was Max, I'll remember that. Max smiled at me and I felt my heart beating so fast, I smiled at him awkwardly.
