A curse slid out of my lips as I snagged the phone from the pocket of my pants, surprised to see who the caller was. "Ace?" I said out loud while wondering why he would be calling me all of a sudden. Looking up to meet Andy's gaze, I gestured towards the phone. "Let me get this. It's Ace." He nodded, holding off on stepping on the pedal after hitting 'reverse.' "What's up, man," I said immediately, pressing the phone to my ear. "Hey, Xander. Sorry to bother you. I just thought I should inform you that I'm taking Luna home and that I'm likely to be home for the rest of the day." He said, all in one breath.

At least she wouldn't witness how my people seemed happy to welcome Casey. "Are you here to claim your place?" A young female approached Casey as she was heading back from... Probably shopping. Casey was carrying pretty big plastic with her. Another female beside the first one elbowed her. "Of course she is. The previous Luna has disappeared, so she must take her place. Right, Luna Casey?" She turned to Casey while saying the last words. Casey flashed a broad smile—she might try to look nice in front of them, but it was disgusting for me. "I'm here to visit a friend."

Not maybe. Matter-of-fact. “You should know what grows in our soil.” Haley moved slowly to the table. Carefully. She didn’t take over. She followed Cassie’s lead. The work was quiet. Measured. Intentional. After a few minutes, Cassie spoke again. “You know what Luna actually is?” she asked. “Not the Alpha’s mate,” Haley said softly. Cassie’s mouth curved faintly. “No.” She tied a bundle neatly. “She is the stabilizer.”

They could create new lives for themselves, be whatever they wanted to be. Whilst we were idly standing around waiting, Luca approached Alpha Bain and I. "Excuse me Luna." I was surprised to realise he'd come over to talk to me and not Alpha Bain. "I apologise that I haven't introduced myself yet. With all the chaos that has happened within the last few hours I haven't really found the right opportunity. I am Luca, Alpha Bain's Beta. It is an absolute pleasure to finally meet you." He summed up whilst bowing his head in a gesture of respect.

"I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, Scarlett." His shadow left the room as silently as the still night, his existence remaining unnoticed. It would have been so if it weren't for the fact that Leaxandra remains conscious all this time. With the unknown shadow already out of the place, the Luna's eyes snapped open while her heart couldn't have pounded more vigorously as though surviving from death itself. ******

I said, my voice stronger now. Asher’s eyes widened in confusion. “Kiara?” he repeated, his voice filled with hope. I nodded, my heart racing. “Kiara Anderson, your Luna.” Asher’s face lit up with a radiant smile. “Lisa, oh my god, you remember!” he exclaimed, tears shining in his eyes. "What happened? Do you remember me? Do you remember us?” I nodded, my voice trembling. “I remember everything, Asher. Our Mating ceremony, our walks under the moonlight, our laughter and our tears. I remember you, my love.”

“I think she didn’t die, she is back. I said and he took a swift turn to look at me before signalling with his hand asking who was back. “The rightful Luna of the Pack and betrothed to the Alpha Karl is back but the only thing is she has lost her memory and can’t remember anything, I even heard Alpha Karl call her Avery I guess it’s a name he gave to her to have an identity,” I said waiting for a reaction because we had somehow plotted and I had made sure to do the job of taking Naya Rose the supposed Luna out and so she wouldn’t ever come back but I was wrong I didn’t kill her.

The road was surprisingly free. “Not bad? Don’t sell yourself short Brown. You were literally drooling over the Lycaon Ascension." “Is that what he calls it?” “That’s what Jeff calls it. Tony says he particularly asked for that piece with every single detail as it is in the mural.” “Who’s Tony?” “My boyfriend.” Brown’s eyes immediately peeled away from the road and immediately latched themselves onto her face. Did he just see her swallow? “Boyfriend?” “Yes. Boyfriend.”

Even though we had casualties, most of the men on the floor were from the enemy’s side. “Bastards!” The Gamma spat out as we watched the remaining few of them retreat. I snickered and hissed simultaneously. There was no way I was going to allow any of them to get away so fast. I needed to know what was going on and how to be able to tackle the new enemy in the picture - the one who was holding my Luna captive. And to be able to do that, I needed to know exactly what was going on and how she was connected to Alpha Cyrus and why she was more than happy to help him.
