Lycan King's Second Chance Mate Novels & Stories

She looked at me for the longest time before saying, “Can I tell you a story? I promise you that when I’m done, you’ll understand.” I didn’t have another choice. I nodded. Dramatically, she said, “Once upon a time, there was a King, a Lycan King, and he could have had any woman his heart desired, but he fell in love with a witch instead.” I scowled. “But witches don’t have mates.”

“I'm a Lycan king and the Lycan Kings are aggressive and cruel, Mother!” Crossing her arms she gave me a sympathetic look. “Then you will learn how to be kind and passionate or lose your mate,” she stated simply causing me to furrow my brow at her being so blunt.

It made him look so scary that I thought he would pounce on me anytime soon. This only meant one thing- the LYCAN king wanted his mate. I have heard stories about this, stores that I didn't believe were true. I stepped backwards, but before I could escape, he grabbed my hands and pulled me to himself. He forcefully inhaled my scent, making me lay on the bed. "Se..th" I called his name, suddenly recalling he had promised to help me if anything went wrong. I had expected the door to be open anytime soon and he would walk in, but instead the door got locked

Instead, he seemed completely unconcerned. He stood up and came over to me and put his hands on my shoulders. "Son, listen to me. One of the requirements of being a Lycan king is to have a mate," he explained. "Malory is a suitable match for you, she's one of us." I shook my head, unable to believe what I was hearing. "But I already have Clarissa," I snapped. "I love her." "Clarissa is not one of us," my father said firmly. "She can never be your mate."

he waved off my pleas like they meant nothing and I huffed as he rose to his feet With a gulp, I grabbed onto his leg and held him so dear to my chest. "Please, Lycan King! Have mercy on me." "Wait what?" He sounded shocked and I looked up at him teary eyed. "Y-You are the Lycan King of this City, right? Please let me go, I swear to never come here again. Also... If you could let me go with my mate-" "Your mate?" He asked again, sounding confused. "Who is your mate?"

He stepped closer instead, his eyes glowing like molten emeralds. “You and your kind deserve no mercy,” he said coldly. “You wolves have been a thorn in the flesh of every lycan. Today, that ends. You found our hideout and cost me two of my brothers. I know your name—and I know exactly what you are. And when I’m done with you, you’ll curse the day you became my mate.” His words froze the air in my lungs. “Take her away!” he commanded. Hands gripped my arms and dragged me backward, my heart hammering as I stared at him in disbelief.

She looked at me lying in the bed, my throat bandaged, my body weak and broken, and her lip curled with pure contempt. "So this is the famous Luna," she said, her voice dripping with disdain, "The wolfless slave who somehow captured our King's attention." Lycan moved between us immediately, his body blocking her view of me. "Get out, Elena." "Oh, don't be dramatic," she waved a hand dismissively, "I just want to see what all the fuss is about, see what makes her so special that you'd throw away everything we had." "We never had anything," Lycan's voice was ice, "Now leave before I make you."

As a Lycan King and mafia lord, I was used to that principle. Over the years, that exact mantra led me to the top. Drunk Serena had accused that I was mean. But, she didn’t know of my world just yet. This is why I had come up with a deal to keep her around. Since she was my mate, I had to keep her around to be complete. Oh, so holy.

“The Lycan King can have multiple girls.” That's Elder Mathew, a ginger-haired man that has been a quiet listener. We all look at him like he has lost his mind. “Let's not forget the fact that he has gotten Alina pregnant. He has to give her a place by his side. In his life. He can go ahead and marry Ashanti and make her his Luna. But he should also marry Alina and make her his second Luna.” “My daughter deserves better than being a man's second choice!” Mr. William counters.

The room erupted in chaos as the other lycans rose to their feet, their faces contorted in anger and confusion. I knelt before him, hands clasped in a desperate plea. “Forgive me, sire. It’s my fault. I’ll instantly reject you. I, Tara Morgan, slave of Alpha King Ethan, hereby reject you, Supreme Alpha King Ethan, as my mate—” Before I could finish, a forceful hand slammed against my cheek, leaving my head spinning, ears ringing, and vision blurred. Ethan struck me. “How dare you reject me, you foolish creature!” he growled. Another stinging slap landed on my face, forcing me onto the hard stone floor. “How does a lowly nobody like you dare to reject me?!”
