From Discarded Wife To Billionaire's Queen

From Discarded Wife To Billionaire's Queen

Lydia slammed on the brakes at the red light, then turned in her seat. “You never went to prison,” she snapped. “That was your psycho stepsister playing puppet master with the tabloids. You were training in Summerdell while they branded you a criminal.” Isla didn’t respond. “You could’ve told them,” Lydia said. “And what would that have changed?” Isla asked softly. “Callum didn’t want the truth. He wanted someone who didn’t disturb the surface.” Lydia was quiet for a moment. Then she grinned. “Well, surface be damned. Tonight, you disturb everything.”

I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess

I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess

Lydia took a small step back, her pride slowly dissolving under Camilla’s blazing fury. Gloria snapped next, her tone calm but her eyes fierce. “Listen to me, Lydia,” she said, her voice low but deadly. “Our families have been close for generations. But I swear on everything I hold dear... if you ever try to harm my family again, I will personally see to it that you regret the day you were born.” The quiet hatred in her voice was worse than Camilla’s roar. Lydia’s hands began to tremble.

Pregnant After One Night Stand With Billionaire

Pregnant After One Night Stand With Billionaire

Lydia stood up from the table, but Nydia's tone turned harsh, "What? You still want to eat? You're not a pig, why eat so much?" Lydia couldn't take it anymore. She slammed down her utensils. "Aunt! Don't you think you're being hypocritical? You're all smiles when Lambert is here, but once he's gone, you target me at every turn! I don't understand. If you don't like me, just say it. There's no need to switch between being nice and nasty!"

The Billionaire’s Convenient Ex-Wife

The Billionaire’s Convenient Ex-Wife

“Now I understand. Not a woman. A parasite. You climbed out of one man’s bed and crawled directly into another’s bank account. Are you not ashamed?” I didn’t move. Didn’t flinch. Just stared at her, utterly unimpressed. Her words hit like darts, but they didn’t pierce. Not this time. Never again. Lydia tilted her head slightly, studying me with the same expression I’d seen on the faces of the Reynolds. Dismissal. Disgust. Something even colder than hate. “You think that bastard baby in your womb makes you family?” she asked softly. “It makes you leverage. And leverage,” she leaned in, voice a whisper now, “gets people killed.”

Craving The Wrong Brother

Craving The Wrong Brother

“You told Sloane you wanted to explain why you lied. That was just bait?” “If I didn’t say that, you wouldn’t have come.” I stare at him. He stares back, shameless. “When I knock all your teeth out, Finn, you won’t be able to form another lying word from your fucking mouth.” “Stop!” Lydia shouts, cutting me off mid-step. “You think I came here because I wanted to? I hate all of you. I’ve carried that hatred with me for years. I hate my mother the most for dying and leaving me with you all.”

I simply adored this book! It was invigorating, captivating, perfectly dramatic and all consuming! Glad I read it and would recommend to all. It’s romantic, chaotic yet well rounded and with a deserved happy ending! This author is superb, glad I’ve read all three books available. Hoping for more!!!!

In the Shadow of the CEO

In the Shadow of the CEO

Lydia, on the other hand, was a neutral party, and her like or dislike of Jia rested solely on the latter's conduct. That made it so much more important. That made it so much more stressful. She didn't think they were quite close enough to consider each other friends, but she did know that Lydia had genuinely good intentions. That was a luxury she wasn't often afforded, and now the woman probably thought that she had sabotaged her on purpose. Like...corporate competition, to try to remove her from her position so that she could replace her -

I enjoyed this book immensely. I did initially have my doubts about how many chapters were taken up by Jia's first day but I liked the progress. It was beautifully written. Jia's journey from struggling 'single parent' with low self esteem to a woman loved and in love was really well thought out.

Loved this story of 2 people who showed real growth, evolving in a v. positive way bc of their emotional connection, determination to persevere under v. trying circumstanc. Yr treatment of anxiety & depression, particularly involving women was handled beautifully & with great clarity & sensitivity.

All's Fair in love and hate

All's Fair in love and hate

Probably get acquitted for life until the day I died or got killed in the slammer, either way I was good with that. “I’m not his father” I never would be. ‘Are you seriously listening to everything you are saying? Lydia would never-“ “Lydia’s fucking dead. She’s not here, open your fucking eyes and see the world for what it is. Joaquin killed her. She was good, she was the only thing that was good and pure and he shot her without even blinking. Like she was some sort of deer in the wild” He took a step back giving me the chance to breathe.

My Teacher Is Mine

My Teacher Is Mine

"Men like him never do. They get what they want and leave a mess behind. And you, you're just one of the many mistakes he's made." Lydia was close to crying. "You’re lying," she whispered. The woman laughed coldly. "You think you’re special? That he’d throw everything away for a little schoolgirl? You are nothing but a fling. Just a dirty little secret." I covered my mouth, trying not to gasp. Oh my God. Lydia was sleeping with Mr. Derek. I felt a mix of shock and rage boil inside me and my fists tightened around the pack of cigarettes I was holding.

The Mafia's Obsession

The room suddenly became bright and Lydia rolled her eyes. “Hey bitch.” Kira called with a smile and Lydia chuckled. “Can you hear yourself right now? You are calling me a bitch? I think you should look at yourself before you say nonsense about others.” Lydia said and smiled seeing the shocked and angry look on her face. Kira suddenly groaned and slapped her, Lydia spat out blood and Kira smiled. “Dont run your mouth bitch, it can really end up being bad for you.” Kira said and Lydia glared at her.

Five Years of Lies: My Wife, Our Marriage, and Another Man's Child

Five Years of Lies: My Wife, Our Marriage, and Another Man's Child

"At the end of the day, she's still mine! She's my flesh and blood! What else could I do when you weren't willing to have a child with me?" Her words were like knives that stabbed themselves into my heart. I watched her as she pinned the blame on everyone else but herself. "So," I said slowly, "You were lying to me when you said you hated children—that living a child-free life was your idea of a perfect life. You just wanted to tie me to you while you had a bastard child out of wedlock." Lydia was stunned by my words, seeming to belatedly realize that she had misspoken. She softened her tone and said, "It's not like that, Jasper. I was forced to give birth to her. Please believe me. The pers
