"Noah... it's over." Ten minutes later, the double doors at the end of the hall opened. Timon walked out first. He looked tired, but his posture was perfect. Behind him was Henna, supporting a pale, ghostly Lynn. Lynn was hunched over, her hand clutching her midsection, her eyes vacant and staring at nothing. She looked like a shell—a body with the soul scooped out. "You monsters!" Noah shrieked, struggling against Damon’s grip. "You killed it! You killed our baby!"

Liora began to laugh, and it was the kind of laugh that sounded like it came from a mad woman who had lost her mind. "You are about to die any second now, so what could possibly be so funny to you, Liora?" Lynn asked, looking confused and annoyed. "You have done your turn playing your games and revealing your plans," Liora said, and despite all the pain she was in, her voice was strong. "Well, now it's my turn." Lynn froze completely still. "What do you mean by that? What turn?" Liora smirked, and the blood that was pouring out from her mouth and all her wounds actually made her look terrifying and fearful in a way that made both Myrrak and Lynn take several steps backward.

Lynn realizes this could be it for her unless she does something quickly. Lynn gathers all her strength, and in the flash of an eye, she extends her claws and rams them into the side of Sonya’s neck. Sonya’s hand slacks momentarily. She clamps a hand on Lynn’s wrist, holding it tight. If Lynn moves her hand, she can rip Sonya’s throat out. If she removes her claws, Sonya could recover and rally. Everyone is watching with bated breath and wondering if Sonya’s life will be spared or if she will die by Lynn’s hand.

Lynn leaped, flipped, her feet kicking Shaid in the chin causing several of her teeth to fly out of her mouth and landed on the floor, before landing on her feet right in front of Lucky. “Really, Lynn? You just had to land in a superhero pose.” Ji'lahni said coming to stand next to her. “What?! That's when Lynn came hurrying down the hallway toward us, clutching a tablet in her hands and looking more upset than I'd seen her since this whole nightmare had started. As Zade's mate and the pack's Luna, she usually maintained an aura of calm authority, but right now she looked as frightened and confused as I felt. "I got the security footage from the garden cameras," she said breathlessly, holding up the tablet. "You need to see this." I set down my coffee and took the tablet from her hands, Lyn leaning over my shoulder to watch as Lynn pressed play. The footage showed Ollie exactly as I remembered – running through the garden, chasing the butterfly, completely carefree and happy.

Kehlani and Corbin come back at the same time, she notices Thiago in her spot but instead of making a fuss, she sits where he was before.
