STRINGS SERIES BOOK 1 STRINGS OF HEART Synopsis: Sian was born an autistic child. In her world, she would only see what she wanted. Although she was an autistic patient, she was born in an affectionate family. Her parents did not abandon her because of her congenital defect. Instead, they spent innumerable time and energy to patiently guide her, and strove to allow her to live life like a normal person. Sian was 5 years old, she was found to have an excellent talent in playing the Violin and had a rare interest in it.

Maya let out a bitter laugh, tears welling up in her eyes—yet not a single drop dared to fall. That familiar pride, that unyielding dignity, wouldn't let her break. "Maya," she muttered to herself, a tight whisper lost in the night, "what are you still hoping for? He never had you in his heart." Just then, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Diana. "Maya, now you finally see it, don't you? Oscar's heart was never with you. If I wanted, he'd toss you aside in a second."

Lyra is sitting next to me on the counter and is playing with some sugar cubes. She looks like her mum: curly red hair, lots of freckles, and green eyes. She's three and usually very talkative, but not today. I think today she said 10 words in total. She keeps crying and watching us, me and the boys, as if she is afraid that if she stops, we will disappear like parents.

“You need to disrupt them!” Lyla focused her energy on the runes, her hands glowing brighter as she channeled the forest’s power. The heart let out a deafening roar, its energy surging as it fought back. “You’ve got this!” Eli shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos. Lyla gritted her teeth, pushing herself harder. The light from her hands clashed with the shadow’s energy, creating bursts of blinding light. With a final, desperate surge of power, Lyla shattered the runes. The heart let out a final, guttural sound before collapsing in on itself, its energy dissipating into the air.

"Talk fast. Time isn't on our side." Lysandra took a breath, steadying herself. "Malrik's corruption isn't just in the ley lines. He's bound his magic to an ancient artifact hidden within the temple—The Heartstone. It feeds his power and anchors the shadow." Ava's stomach clenched. "If we destroy it..." Lysandra nodded. "The temple will collapse. But Malrik will be weakened enough to be defeated." Rhian exchanged a look with Kaelin. "So it's a kill-the-heart-to-kill-the-beast kind of deal."

Mumma was saying. I looked at her thoughtfully. I stayed up all night thinking and my heart hurted each and every second. I cried and screamed and wailed in my pillow so that Mumma wouldn't hear. But I know my Allah heard and saw me and he will give me strength. I had to make this choice. *****

The figure ceased playing, revealing eyes that mirrored the stars. "I am Lyria, the last songkeeper of Meranthia. I've been waiting for you." Nocturna's gaze narrowed, "Waiting for us? Why?" Lyria replied, her voice melodic, "To give you the anthem of unity, a song that once bound Meranthia together. Only by playing it can the heart of Meranthia be accessed."

Niamh, her senses heightened, nodded, "It's a convergence. All these visions, memories, possibilities — they're converging here." Ezra, always eager to decipher mysteries, mused, "This could be the crux of our quest. The very essence of the Song of the Ancients might be centered here." Malachi, peering into the swirling nexus, remarked, "There's a pattern — a melody that's both hauntingly familiar and entirely new." Liora, her ethereal voice resonating with the pulse, intoned, "This is the Heartbeat of Realms, the central melody that binds, balances, and propels every reality. I was just a shell. "Kael! "Hey, Kael, look at me!" I could hear Lyra's voice as if it were coming from the end of a long, dark tunnel. It was muffled, distorted, and missing the emotional impact that usually made it the most interesting sound in my life. I could hear the words and understand what they meant, but the music was gone. The love, fear, and desperation that should have hit me like a physical blow were gone. It was data. No data.
