"Ah—" Colton's scream was cut short. The monster's teeth ripped out his throat, blood gushing like a fountain.

"These bastards don't belong here!" A fiery mother pushed back. "Who are you to talk here? Are you the owner of this place? Your son's paternity is the most questionable!" "What did you say? I'll rip your mouth open!" Martha snapped, losing it. She lunged at the woman, the two of them tumbling into a full-blown catfight. The children wailed, the room dissolving into chaos. Zane, trapped in the middle, felt his sanity fray. The creditors had stripped him bare. He didn't even know where his next meal would come from.
