His Son, Her Secret

His Son, Her Secret

Mischa added, mournfully, “And you really need to see... the result, Tetya.” I walked to the table. There it was: a sad slice of half-burnt toast lying limp on a white ceramic plate. Next to it, a pile of scrambled eggs that looked more like a map of some undiscovered continent. “We’re not eating that,” Max whispered, like he was delivering a medical warning. I turned to Pascha. “Is this part of some slow-burn sabotage of my entire life?” “Nope. It’s part of the ‘look, I’m a functioning husband’ program, just without the talent portion,” he said with zero shame.

Pregnant Too Young — Daddy Is A Billionaire Jock

Pregnant Too Young — Daddy Is A Billionaire Jock

I should let it pass since I don't want to lose him as my friend. Or whatever the heck we are to each other. "Breakfast sounds nice!" I chirp and try to smile. "What do you usually have for breakfast?" Light returns to his face, and Maddox chuckles. "Um, let's see... A lot of eggs and other proteins. I usually spend every morning at the gym, but... It seems my alarm didn't go off in time." "You can head there after breakfast?" I helpfully suggest. "I don't want my stay to get in the way of your daily routine."

The book is great and I appreciate the diallogue-it flows and matches the characters personality.the only ridiculous thing is the love for the herculean men, and even that feels natural as it matches the characters' personalities. the honesty one has with their own emotions helps readers empathize

The topic is well known and you could say I read many books about the same problems, the same variant of romance. Fake dating, hate to love, drama at home, PTSD.But the characters are built perfectly. They are funny, they have chemistry and the story has good pace, giving them time to grow. Love it!

You've Got the Wrong Woman, Mr. Lance

You've Got the Wrong Woman, Mr. Lance

"I'll have my assistant bring some medicine. I'll help you with it and take you to the hospital." After saying this, he handed her breakfast. Jennifer was in too much pain to resist and reluctantly stayed seated. She took the paper bag. "What's this?" Maxwell smiled. "Why don't you try it and see if you like it?" It was a loaf of bread from a famous shop in Haven City that Jennifer used to love. The shop had no branches, and there was always a long line. Once they sold out, that was it for the day. Maxwell had gotten up early to wait in line. He wondered if Jennifer still remembered the taste.

The way this book is going, I don't think it will end Maxwell and Jennifer being together, which will make the story be out of line and less interesting, because now Jennifer is planning to go abroad with another man without considering the children's feelings. I'm not interested in this book again

Laura’s story should have been a separate book. Maybe it would have had an ending instead of just stopping abruptly. We won’t get the chance to know if she finally found the courage to leave Simon after his years of humiliation or if he stood up to his mother and dumped Hailey completely.

Yours, Forever

Yours, Forever

Whatever Mason was about to say, he had a feeling it wasn’t going to be so good, but he had braced himself already for whatever he would hear today and he was more than prepared. “Okay then.” Mason mumbled, clearing his throat and smiling wearily he started to talk. He started to tell Damien everything, leaving not a single detail out, maybe. ……. Madison breathed out in relief, as soon as it was time for her lunch break. Today had been one of those days when the bakery had lots of work to do, and as usual she'd had to come earlier than usual, leaving her with no time to have breakfast at home. She did have some leftover porridge, but she was sure it would have already spoilt, and by the time

Love and Madness

I looked at her with a confused expression. “Who’s Brx?” I asked. His brows furrowed. It dawned on me when I realized who he is talking about. “Oh, that guy.” I said. Dad nodded and continued what he’s doing. After eating, I excused myself and walked back to my room. I received Drake’s message about what time are we attending a mass and where. He told me that he’ll pick me up too so I won’t have to worry.

When I'm Not the Madre

When I'm Not the Madre

After receiving the video, I forwarded it to Ettore with a note, "The truth you want to know is all here. Don't keep being the fool in the dark." Ettore was in his apartment, flipping through old photos, when he received the video. In the photos, he and I were nestled beside Mom, smiling brightly. When he saw what Sofia did in the video, his whole body trembled, and a wave of anger and regret washed over him. He remembered the days locked in the basement as a child, when I gave him my only piece of bread and went hungry for three days. He recalled the time Mom passed away, and I held him, crying and promising I would always protect him.

My Love Until the Last Goodbye

My Love Until the Last Goodbye

“Good. I’ll be back soon.” Maximus left the room feeling drained. He hadn’t eaten anything the day before, and his stomach was still churning from the alcohol and the scare with Laura. The acid reflux was unbearable, so he took something for it and headed to the kitchen, where the aroma of pancakes filled the air. Without hesitation, he grabbed one and started eating. "Seeing is believing," Matthew remarked, stepping away from the fridge. "I didn’t eat anything yesterday. Then Laura got sick, and I only just got back," Maximus said, his face weary.

The Price Of Her Mercy

The Price Of Her Mercy

I heave out a huge sigh, so much, l let out all my breath, shoving away the thought. Tomorrow’s going to be a long day.. I thought The alarm scream at me, making my ears ring for at least a few seconds, as usual. It hated me. I open my eyes, even though they still feel very heavy. I still felt the haze from last night from the beer I had to jug down to escape the shitty reality of my life. I sat up, my whole body still aching from yesterday’s shift. I went into the kitchen. I brought back bread yesterday. A loaf. Mr McKie's milky sliced bread was my go-to. It was soft and really fluffy. Full of flavor and would make your mouth water.
