My stomach churns. “You need to eat lunch, Mrs. Samson.” I bury my face in the pillow, but more hands pull me away. “No! Stop!” I cry, thrashing. “You can’t—” My eyes are closed, but I know the voice that greets me in the hallway. “Ah, there she is,” Hank. The pyromaniac. He burned down two churches and a bank before being admitted. He peers into my room as the nurses drag me out and carry me to one of the day rooms.

Steve and Kyle looked excited, but Demitri and Becca were not really into killing their brain cells. "I don't know." Becca said, rubbing her arms in discomfort. "Please Becky? I want to have some fun memories with you before finals." Kendra begged. Becca thought about it, but was still uncertain. "You know, I read something that said like.. alcohol only kills the dumb brain cells." Kyle encouraged. Demitri put a hand on Becca's shoulder.

Adeline pouted. “ You have my permission, but no alcohol or heavy drinking. You will be getting married soon, and I won't tolerate that.” Magdalene’s voice turned stern. “ Fine. I just can't wait to see my fiancé and what he looks like.” Adeline heaved a sigh. “ You would fall in love with him once you set your eyes on him. He is so handsome.” Magdalene's stern face turned soft as she spoke about Cassius. “ I hope so too.” Adeline smiled. “ Bye mama.”

I asked Alpha David. "Iz didn't tell you?" He asked me, shocked. I shook my head no at him. "Well, after Isabelle's mother died, she had horrifying dreams. This is a tonic her mom taught her before she passed. It helps her fall asleep." I was going to ask more questions, but Damian blurted a weird fact out. "Mae doesn't like eggs." He looked at Max panicked. "I know." He sighed, rubbing his hands on his theigh. I quickly walked back over to the fridge and poured Max a similar cup to Damian's and handed it to him. He took a sip, and instantly, there was some sort of relief.

Breakfast is Bread, Jam and milk in front of us, and I had taken off just two bites of my bread, craving for some bacon, toast and milk pudding. "At your service, Ma'am Meredith Jones." He bows. Sarah is already on the floor, laughing like a donkey. While Miranda just rolls her eye balls in their sockets. Nana Jones let Max kisses her on her cheek and smiles. "Such a fine young man." She praises him, then adds. "With the devil's own temper and possibly the biggest pervert of a young soul I've ever met." Max's smile drops off his face, and he lets Nana Jones hand down gently before scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.

“Finish your breakfast, honey. The toast is getting cold. We will talk about it in the arena.” As usual Teresa did not like the audience. Max had to obey because nobody made a protest. They silently enjoyed the homemade bread and waffles and slices of fruits and cheeses and warm glasses of milk. Max and Zayn ate a lot, the servers replenished the plate of bacon three times. They both were well aware that today will be more rigorous than the last day. “Wow, you two eat a lot. Max, remember what goes in between the lips, goes to the hips.”

She yelled this time more clearly that her voice echoed in the church, Everyone turned to look at her, it was now that he noticed that his Mom, Sofia and Risa where walking behind her "What is this nonsense!" Mr Madison yelled, Saul as if coming back to his senses left the alter running towards her, she hugged so tightly as if he couldn't believe she was really here "Keith" he said "Saul, Max is dying, he needs a donor, I wasn't a match please help our son will die" she cried, Saul grabbed her hand and walked out of the church with her asking various questions about where Max was and what had happened, in between crying, Keith had managed to tell him everything

I find the men gather around the kitchen table, and I join them. “Is this any good?” I tease, looking at the bread and soup. “It doesn’t matter if it’s good or not,” Maxim replies. “It’s food.” “And it’s liquid,” Monroe adds. “So Alpha Kane can also eat when he wakes up.” Their words warm my heart, and I look away to hide my emotions. I am so grateful that we have such good and loyal friends. Braden’s phone rings, breaking the silence, and we all look curiously at him.
