He asks. To no one’s surprise, Maddie stands and approaches the presenter’s platform. She has her computer bag with her, and I know she’ll pull out her laptop to connect with our big screen system. Within a few minutes Maddie is set up and ready. “Council members, thank you for allowing me to speak today. In case some of you haven’t met me or are unaware, I am Alpha Madison Evans of Blue Meadow Pack in Wisconsin. I am here to inform and discuss the issues of the rogue armies roaming and attacking our packs in recent months.”

The location was so easy to locate. “Here we are.” Maddie is thrilled by excitement; she throws her hands in the air, yelling like a kid.I laughed at her childishness. The place was buzzing with people, some in twos drinking; sweaty bodies were at the dance floor dancing to the sound of music. I first saw Jamie at the far end, playing some poker. Maddie saw him and blushed as usual. “Do you think he will talk to me? ” “He's supposed to find you, not you going to talk to him.”

Can't you just behave? Sofia leaned weakly against Vincenzo's chest and let out a few soft coughs before saying weakly, "Vincenzo, don't be mad. Isabella is just heartbroken. Why don't I talk to her properly and have her go back to rest?" As soon as her words fell, a deafening explosion erupted, shaking the entire dock violently. The searchlights overhead swayed precariously. From the nearby containers that hadn't yet fully collapsed came the piercing screech of twisting metal, and a massive sheet of metal hurled straight toward the three of them.

She read an article about astronauts going nuts in space because there’s nothing else out there.

Ghulik spat in disgust from behind. Gildeon glanced around. No animals scurried, no insects buzzed, no birds sang. The silence was eerie, leaving only the sounds of the soft whistle of the wind, the crackling fire, and the gentle hoofbeats of his horse. As they kept moving, the smell of death ebbed away. Until a distant roar of a lone battle made him perk up. His gut turned as he realized the trail led to the infamous Mad End's Wall, a forsaken place shunned by the salamanders and sylphs.

AUTHOR'S POV* After a while, Gavin heard sirens and cars parking outside of the warehouse where they are located. He's still hugging Madison's body as he stood up and carry her gently. His mind's still a mess as the only thing that's keeping him sane was Madison's presence. Madison passed out after finding herself to Gavin's arms and tight embrace. The door swing opened and people came inside as they were welcomed by Gavin's tired glare and an unconscious lady in his arms.

Madelaine Yeah, I’m sure he said that before but I still got strangled. I tightened my fingers around the knife, feeling that overwhelmness again. I dropped my head, my other hand crawling up to feel my throat. My lungs felt tighter, my eyes blurry. “Maddy it’s a panic attack, breathe… nothing is coming to get you, you are not scared just breathe… Maddy, 1, 2 breathe…” My sponsor’s and my mom’s voices overlapped each other in my head.

Now she had to spend two hours in the same peace. The bus hostess smiled and pointed to the empty seat. Passing between the seats on either side, she reached her desired seat. Her seat was by the window. And someone, who was sitting in the first seat, had his face hidden behind the book. He was wearing a light gray T-shirt and blue jeans. He was completely unaware of the world around him. "The Enemy With John Ventry" had written on the cover of book. Whatever he had was lost in the book when she approached it.

Angela says. “If it’s not done by lunch,” April says through the door, “you can forget about going out with Anna.” I bang on the door and hear them laughing on the other side. This can't be happening. Anna will be here shortly, won't she? I don’t have many options here. I start looking through Tom’s drawers and cabinets until I finally find his safe. Inside, I already know, will be survival gear and radios. It takes me a few tries to open the safe. The code is still my birthday. Inside I also find a prepaid cell phone.
