I ran upstairs behind the others, loading bullets into my guns as I made my way to the empty kitchen, “Come on out boys” I shouted “How much is daddy paying you?” “ Twelve a hundred thousand dollars and the title of mafia king, can you top that?” I watched as they slowly walked towards the exit, their shadows reflecting off the refrigerator, as the door ajar open I fired, hitting them both. John got hit in the head and Johnny in the chest. I dropped my guns and walked behind him, watching as he crawled away on his hands and knees, b

The small room is filled with smoke and a strong scent of booze. Three men are huddled around a table, playing cards. They are all wearing similar denim blue jackets with cut up sleeves and each of them have a tattoo of chimeras on their arms. “F*ck!” One of the men hiss as he loses the round. “Pay up f*cker,” another man smugly grins. “Yer cheating!” Another gang member accuses. They start to argue among themselves. The men have been playing for hours and are completely stoned. They start another hand when there’s a knock on the door.

"All my sacrifices… flushed down the drain. Everything I built for Leonardo’s cartel, gone." "Oh, please," Valeria scoffed, flicking her hand dismissively. "Leonardo rescued you when you were nothing but a stray, living off the streets and begging for scraps." "That’s a tired story," Johnny snapped, his eyes narrowing. "I want more. I want my own cartel. I want to be feared in the mafia world." Valeria chuckled darkly, crossing one leg over the other. "We all crave power, Johnny. And in time, we’ll get it—if we play our cards right."

“You—you’re the ghost?” “Ace and I are partners,” she said simply. “Please,” he begged. “Let me go. I won’t tell anyone—” “No can do,” I said, placing the gun to his head. “You betrayed your mafia.” I pulled the trigger. Alexia stretched her arms like she’d just woken up from a nap. “Well. The Lebanese mafia is after me, and the Australian mafia is after us. They declared war, didn’t they? Anyway… I wanna watch a movie.”

“Ah, the famous ‘how we met’ story. Well, I guess it’s about time we told the whole thing.” Maria, his mother, perked up, a warm smile spreading across her face. “I would love to hear it again too,” she said. “It’s always been one of my favourites.” Again?
