Afterward, Mia pulled Mago over to James and introduced them to each other. “Mago, this is James. He’s the new master of Mount Nothingness. He’s the one that gave the order to save you.” Mago had a disheveled appearance but still emitted a noble aura. He looked at James and said lightly, “With my strength, I would’ve gotten out of that place soon.”

I would then proceed in finding and lightly kissing every scar. However, I always have her retell them to me. Most of the time it makes her happy. They hurry to scuttle after her, lifting the hems of their overlong garments so that they can move more swiftly, their gazes locked on the ground in shame. Even though they had moved on the Magi's orders, they will likely face punishment for touching my nest. Standing at the door, the Magus waits, her nostrils flaring.

" Mage giggled, looking under the covers at her nude body. She wiggled slightly but felt no pain. As expected, Leo had been gentle and careful not to hurt her. She wished she actually remembered what happened though. All she could remember was the club, the dance floor, and his fingers. She blushed, biting her lip. She cackled crazily and pulled the blanket over her head, snuggling back in the bed. "He loves me." she sqeaked. She giggled again, kicking her feet under the blanket. Mage believed everything Leo had said to her. She believed they had made love and that he would marry her. She thought she had finally won. Mage's world would soon come crashing down.

Xavier felt it before the door opened again. Freya's P.O.V "My coven just used me to get to you," Maggie's voice sounded lifeless. "They told me they'll extract your magic and give it to me, to make me powerful…but now my great-grandmother told me that I helped them for the greater good. That it was my duty to those who had brought me up…fed me and nourished me till I turned eighteen…and that was it…" I didn't like the way it sounded. Maggie's great-grandmother sounded like a dick, but that wasn't my concern. I didn't like the way Maggie's eyes looked so dead…as if she was exhausted inside.

I wouldn't put him or anyone else in jeopardy. Plus, my idea might not even work. I had no clue how to get into or leave Sharra. In the past, it just sort of happened. But I needed to try. It hadn't escaped my notice that there were seven points to the star, and there were seven magics. That meant something. It had to. Closing my eyes, I concentrated on the realm of Sharra. The gardens around the castle. The castle itself. The different rooms I was in, including the bedroom where I kissed Christopher. The bathroom where I spoke with Zenny in the mirror. His flamboyant clothes. I focused on the smells of Sharra - magic, and rosemary, and the blood I craved.

I don’t know how much longer my mother had me in her clutches before the front door busts open, and the pain she is subjecting me to disappears. A cold breeze whips past me and I sense myself helplessly collapsing to the ground. A familiar scent fills my nostrils, followed by a murderous growl that makes me dizzy with desire and unexpected solace; I feel safe and my heart begins to beat in a slow rhythmic melody. Large arms catch me before my body collides with the ground, lifting me flush off the ground and crushing me against a warm wall of muscle. “You dare inflict pain on our mate with magic that you used to curse our pack!”
