Magical Library Novels & Stories

’ ‘If I wanted to study curses, where would I find the right book? ‘Oh, curses or any type of magic isn’t allowed, Magnus. Those books aren’t out here with the other books. We would get in big trouble if we studied any kind of witchery, voodoo, or magic.’ ‘Where are they kept then?’ ‘In the t-town library, behind lock and key, in a r-room out of sight.’ ‘Do you know where?’ ‘Y-yes.’ ‘Great! Meet me at the town library after school.’ I say, taking my leave.

But the wind only laughs at me. ~~~ Kaia and I sit tucked in a corner of Warrenvale’s underground library, surrounded by spellbooks, old maps, and crumbling scrolls that smell like mildew and magic. It's the kind of quiet that feels sacred, like even your thoughts shouldn't be too loud. I’m tracing a sigil on the spine of a dusty book when Kaia gasps, slapping a heavy leatherbound tome down in front of me. "Read this. Now." The page she’s opened to has a title scrawled in ink that glimmers with remnants of ancient wards:

“And some of the older ones too, if we’re being honest.” Next came the library—a sprawling, circular room with books that spiraled from floor to ceiling. Spiral staircases wound between levels, and soft lights hovered in the air, bobbing gently like fireflies. I took a step in, and the magic around me pulsed—soft, familiar, almost affectionate. Like the very room remembered me. Zerina exhaled in my head. “This place honors its knowledge.” From there we saw the gym, fitted with simple training equipment, thick mats, and even a few enchanted dummies that moved with a will of their own.

A happiness that’s like the first warm wind promising a spring after a perpetual winter. ***** Event: First Round Meeting Location: Academy library Presided by: Commander of Magic defense, Lim Jihun and the Guardians. ***** Passing through the black and golden wooden double door, we entered a colossal library with books arranged in shelves from the floor to ceiling. There weren't any rooms in that library. It was a giant, empty hall with several floors. One staircase that ran spiral from the floor to the ceiling connected all floors. “Heaven…” Janus said, gazing at the library.

I sneer, dragging her back to Anastasia and march right back into the fracas of magic. Magical lights of blue, green, purple, yellow, red, gold splash across the sky. It's actually really pretty. It's funny because the black magic coming from the Abyss isn't even half as powerful as ours is. They don't actually know how to use offensive magic. All they are able to do is put up weak shields that crumble moments later. I'd laugh... but now's not the time.

There’s got to be a way to find it. If it’s magical, protected, and kept in this library, it needs to be separated from ordinary books! I looked around once more before running around to find a section for magical books until I reached near the end of the library and saw books with magical abilities encased in their own boxes and floating inside. My eyebrows furrowed as I looked at them which seems to be never-ending.

“Now!” They struck together — Killian’s shadows driving into the creature’s heart while Daryl’s blades cut deep into its glowing veins. For a moment, the snow lit up with both colors — red and blue — before the thing collapsed in a heap of stitched flesh. Killian stood over it, panting. “You’ve been carrying blood magic this whole time.” “Not just any blood magic,” Daryl said. His tone was different now — measured, careful. “That vial came from Varrow’s own reserves.”

Rita The air in the hidden wing of the library was thick with the scent of aged parchment and something deeper—magic, old and restless. Rita trailed her fingers along the spines of the grimoires, each one humming under her touch like a sleeping beast. "This one," Derek murmured, pulling a heavy tome bound in cracked leather. "It’s been calling to you since we walked in." Rita took it, the moment her skin met the cover, a shudder ran through her.

"I know she’s in there. I know you’re using Kaima to power this digital hell." " 'Hell' is such a dramatic word, Alpha Rowan," Vane smiled, walking down the stairs toward us. "We prefer to call it 'The Infinite Library.' Why leave the magic to rot in the mud where it can be used for war and chaos? Here, it is safe. It is categorized. It is... profitable." He stopped ten feet away, his eyes scanning the countdown on my arm. **158:45:12.**

Now, with a steady heart, I pushed open the heavy door. Inside, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the library. Towering shelves, filled with books, scrolls, and leather-bound volumes, reached up to a high ceiling. The air was thick with the scent of old parchment and dust. I wandered slowly through the aisles, my fingers gliding over the spines of countless books that seemed to whisper secrets of magic and wonder. T hen I found it—a section dedicated to magic!
