The magma seemed like it was about to collapse. Boom!

The air was rich with the scent of ripe berries, citrus, and something unfamiliar—something sweet and almost floral. My eyes wandered across the spread of fruits, recognizing some from the human world while others were completely foreign. One caught my attention—it was deep purple with a soft glow around it. "What’s this?" I asked, picking it up. Leila smiled. "Moonfruit. It’s rare. Only grows here in Shadowhaven." "Can I try it?" Mira grinned. "Of course! Just don’t eat too much, or you might start glowing too." I blinked. "Wait, what?"

Her pulse spiked anyway. No, she thought sharply. Not this. Not here. She forced her attention back to the plate. “What’s this?” she asked, gesturing toward the unfamiliar fruit, grateful for neutral ground. Miguel followed her gaze. “Durian.” She blinked. “Here?” He nodded. “Yes. Still rare.” “I thought durian was Southeast Asian.”

The other one smelled kind of sour, it reminded me of one of those exotic fruits that were being sold in Laguna. “I’ll assign you to the soup part,” Mertha said, handing me a ladle. “This is mushroom soup from some of the mushroom that the kids foraged at the forests. This one is from a rare tree pod that can only be obtained deep in the forests between Savanna and the Torrids. It’s sour and tastes amazing. It’s great for a good night’s sleep.” This surprised me, I never knew such a tree exists in the Torrids.

Thousands of mana berry trees packed with purple fruits lined the greenhouse ceiling to floor. "Whoa! How did you do this?" This was unbelievable. "A bit of magic here, a bit of magic there," Verra was proud of herself. It was unheard of for so many mana berry trees to be in one place. "This might be the largest collection on the continent if word ever gout got out-," Megan couldn't even finish the sentence out of fear. "We definitely need a security system," Xasha declared.

The words came out a little too fast and I realised I was smiling, my chin lifting a bit as pride sneaked in before I could stop it. Elena paused and looked at me over her shoulder, one brow lifting. “Are you bragging right now?” I made a small laugh. “Maybe a little.” She chuckled too, shaking her head as she opened the fridge, the light spilling out and revealing the neatly arranged shelves. Everything inside was organised and carefully stocked. There were bowls of cut fruits, small containers with labels, bottles of juice and milk lined up like soldiers, and what looked like prepared meals sealed and untouched. She reached in and took out a small bowl of fruit, setting it on the counter.

Magma’s father was a sound analyst, and he didn’t disappoint with his assumption. “As usual, you are right,” the Primogenitor of the Barbarian race had a bitter smile on her face when she spoke. And her eyes traveled back to the location of Amalgamation. It was fairly easy to spot since most of the thundering clouds and dark light was congregated there. And though the entire planet was filled with those elements, they weren’t as dense as they were over there.

' I took a bite of the red fruit, the juicy taste of it exploding on my taste buds. 'Mmmh. ' I silently moaned as I chewed the bite and mixed it with saliva, swallowing it in balls. The fruit was so sweet, indeed Margaret hadn't lied when she said her garden produced the best fruits on the entire pack lands. I closed my eyes, my jaw working on the series of bites that I was crowding my mouth with. ' So sweet. ' I moaned yet again. 'We haven't talked for two days Tamara, I really miss you. '

My hand reached for the water and drank until half was left, then grabbed a glass of the mixed fruit smoothie to taste it. "Mmm ... this is delicious." I said, nodding my head several times. "What fruit do you use, Ma?" "I used mango, dragon fruit, banana and also avocado. Does it really taste good?" "Yeah, you can try it yourself." Mama grabbed her smoothie glass and started sipping its contents. She felt it for a moment before her eyes finally opened wider than usual. Mama nodded her head repeatedly, she sipped the smoothie again until only half was left.
