I groaned in pain as the ribbon’s length started decreasing, dragging me closer to Illumi. “Ok! Help me here! She’s stronger than she looks!” Illumi ordered his men, and they dashed towards me. Morana’s partner jumped between them. His clothes tore apart, and his masquerade fell to the ground as he got into his lycan form. Ruin’s dagger cut through the air, slicing the silver ribbon tied around my wrist. I gaped at the lycan blankly.

“Is this what I think it is?” I don't even waste my time looking at him because the old man is all bark and no bite. “No, no, no,” Alec blurts in response. “I swear by the moon goddess I don’t—” Alpha Magnus doesn’t even let Alec finish what he wants to say before he rudely interrupts. “Did you sell off your sister to Alpha Thorne, too?” he asks Alec, and his jaw locks. My blood boils when I hear Alpha Magnus say that, but I blame Alec.

“She is the only one who can save us and I suggest you take finding your mate seriously as the danger looms upon us.” The man scowled deeply upon hearing what the wizard said. “I am a lycan, Orion and not just any lycan, the supreme one, are you saying that I can't take care of that evil force and protect my people?” he sneered, his blue eyes slowly turning dark. “Alpha, please calm down,” Orion quickly said when he saw the change in the colour of the man’s eyes. He could tell that his lycan had been offended by his words and was fighting to come out.
