MISTAKEN

MISTAKEN

Nicholas defends. “What flashes through your mind before you get a panic attack?” “Nothing” “Nothing?” “Yes, absolutely nothing” “Think again Nick. It could be the cameras flashing, or the crowds yelling. it could be anything, just tell me what you see” Nick doesn’t say a word and just stares at the direction of her window. It was like the answers were written there but he couldn’t bring himself to speak the words. His expression had switched from non-challant to fear as there was something different about his green eyes. It held horror in them.

Second Chance for Revenge: The Reborn Luna.

Second Chance for Revenge: The Reborn Luna.

"You're . . .despicable. You murdered Maverick's parents, you ruined his life already. What more do you want?" "Retribution!" Makila shouted, leaning over me slightly. Her eyes burned with the fury of an age-old vendetta. Whatever had made her this way, had broken her beyond repair. "And I won’t rest until I have it. Now move it!" She pushed me towards the stairway with a force that caused me.to.lose my balance.

Her Stalker

Her Stalker

It takes everything in me to hold it down as Brixton drives like a madman through the city. "Do you need me to pull over?" "No. I think I can hold it." "Okay, well if you can't just let me know and I'll pull to the side." I focus my eyes out the window, looking at the dark sky, trying to find the stars hidden behind the haze that floats through the heavy, gloomy clouds. Everything as I knew it crumbles like buildings in an earthquake, making me realize not everything is what it seems.

The Mech

The Mech

He ultimately had to spend an entire day trying to get it right. He placed the Fayette electronic countermeasure or ECM over the left eye, making sure to align it so the short antenna extended from the Fantasia's ear. The ECM insured that automated and aim-assisted systems had a harder time tracking the mech. It worked particularly well against guided missiles, as long as they were from the same tier.

Alpha Maximus

Alpha Maximus

'I'll probably end up with bruised knees, but I'll be fine,' she says, smiling appreciatively at Billy. Billy gestures for her to sit by him. Amara's face lights up, and she takes up the offer and nestles beside him. I gaze above the fire that sends a silver line of smoke towards the sky and stare at the infinite mass of stars. A smile spreads across my face as I remember what Micah said about wanting to count the stars with me.

The ultimate Alpha God

The ultimate Alpha God

Vrethie said, reading off the watch subtitles. "It was?" Miaka asked, full of wonder but devoid of memories. She had no memory of a set of parents she knew had once existed - in another time and space. For this was not Earth - not really. Everything around them was AI generated from a sleeping state. That sleeper watched them now in silence. His name... EK ... Or Earth Killer. He popped up to say a quick hello. "Can I have my pills?" Miaka asked - almost pleading. Her voice turned from a plea to a whine.

The First of Her Kind

The First of Her Kind

His eyes, flickering between blue and black, betrayed the storm of rage building inside him, the same fury that would fuel him for the inevitable battle at sunrise. From a distance, Amani watched, her heart in her throat. She stood with Archer and Maggie, their forms shadowed by the trees, far enough away to avoid being a distraction, but close enough to see the intensity of Malakai’s movements. He was pushing himself hard—too hard—and she could sense the weight of his determination, the ferocity of his resolve.

I don’t leave reviews often but when I do it is because an author has done an exceptional job at writing a story that draws you in. This story is one of the best I’ve read on this forum from plot to character development, this story although part of a werewolf trope stands out among the rest!

This is a really beautiful book: very well written with a great plot. The descriptions are intricate & characters complex and loveable. This book deserves to be a paperback! It’s so pleasant to enjoy a gripping story with no grammar or syntactic issues. My favourite book on this platform so far!

The Mark of the Unwanted Mate

The Mark of the Unwanted Mate

“SAMARA, HOLY shit. . .” Amaris’ voice was laced with awe, and I was left staring at the glass cabinet slowly opening, until it completely opened. The archery equipment stared back at me, glowing, as if calling me to touch it—to take it.

Will You Marry Me, Again?

Will You Marry Me, Again?

“How wonderful! You fooled him by saying you’ll go back to Prismara tomorrow. Then, you’ll leave Stonebrook and return to Prismara without him noticing!” Aiken looked at Maia admiringly. “Wow. How are you this smart, Maia? You’re smarter than Einstein!” Maia was used to Aiken buttering her up. She was busy packing her stuff up and asked, “When’s the afternoon shooting?” Aiken was alarmed when he heard her, “Damn it! The shooting has started! I have to be there now!” As he ran toward the door, he said, “Stay safe, Maia. Text me when you touch down at Prismara!”

The Queen's Second Life

The Queen's Second Life

“That alien knows a private code only the two of us know. She also took the secret device from a hidden place whose unlocking combination even I forgot.” He looked at the floor gloomily. “So I’m facing two possibilities. Either this is someone very intelligent and reckless, or the corpse I buried truly rose and walked again.” Without Mike realizing it, a pair of eyes was watching from high up in a tree. Not far from there, among the dense leaves of an old pine tree facing directly toward the cabin window, Maia perched on a large branch, blending with the leaves shadowed by the dusk. Her right hand gripped a small binocular camera, and her eyes grew misty. “He… is still alive.”
