Madchen shook her long red tresses as she entered the department workroom. Somehow, her dark red hair always had a golden sheen to it, a natural highlight she was born with,along with her striking blue green eyes.Her German-irish heritage shown through with her hair,yet she kept a surprisingly golden skin tone. "Will you help me find her or not?" Matilda snorted. "You've either had too much to drink, or you've been staring at a magazine model. The description you just gave me sounds like a top model. And silky black hair? Half the women in this estate have that hairstyle." She paused, shifting her weight outside. "Ever since that pageant winner in 2025 made it popular, everybody's been copying it." Another heavy silence settled between them. Then Matilda sighed. "Do you have a name?"

She chopped off a huge chunk every summer but it grew back quickly. She was grateful for the good genes passed down to her. She did not remember much of her mother, but from the few pictures she had seen of her, her mother had the same hair. “I am surprised companies are not already swarming you with contracts to model their products.” The hairstylist said. “They are probably wary because of her connection to the presidency.” The man threading through her dress said. “They will not be wary for long, honey! Not with this glass skin.” Her makeup artist said.

“I hope so. She whispered. “I know so.” Morgan suddenly reached out and touched my hair. “Why do you straighten it now?” I gave her a slight scowl. “Do you not remember all the things you would say about my curls?” I asked her. She looked at me with a guilty smile. “I did bring you something, actually. I saw it when I was shopping. It is meant to help tame your curls. I never thought you should hide them. I’d have loved your curls, Bai. I got the boring straight hair from Dad.”

She even asked Alissa to braid her hair exactly like Elsa but Alissa just did a Dutch braid, each layer was spread out to make her braid look big. Rather than Elsa, she ended up looking like Daenerys Targaryen from Games of Thrones with her long blonde hair or more like Lagertha in Vikings. She giggle to herself. Telling Hope about that didn’t matter because she wouldn’t understand any of that character. The bottom line now is that, Hope’s thick long hair that curls at the end was super gorgeous.

“Your mama used to braid our hair the exact same way, and I’d always complain ’cause I thought she did yours with extra love.” I laughed softly. “You made her redo your hair to match mine even though they were identical styles already.” Aunt Carina and my mother shared the same dark hair, which they passed down to their daughters, Juliana and me. But where mine was wavy and gave the impression of volume, Julie’s hair was straighter. It made all the difference, even when our hair was styled the same.
