With a vicious snarl, Xavier swung his massive paw, striking me squarely in the chest. The force of the blow lifted me off my feet, throwing me backward across the floor. I crashed hard against a metal crate, the breath violently knocked out of my lungs. The iron pipe clattered uselessly away into the flames. "Emma!" Draven’s pained, frantic voice echoed in my head through the lingering connection, but his wolf couldn't rise. Xavier placed a heavy paw firmly on Draven’s chest, pinning him down once more, before turning his glowing, predatory eyes back to me.

“Draven.” She called breathing heavily as she stared at his eyes. He didn't break eye contact with her, he slowly lifted his hand and Xalia whimpered and shivered in fear. “I don't understand you Xalia.” He whispered and leaned closer to her. “You read the rules right?” He whispered in her ear and his breath against her ear sent shivers down her spine. Xalia didn't give him a response and he bit her ear softly, she moaned out in pleasure and in fear. Why is her body reacting to his touch?
