Mami Wata Meaning Novels & Stories

“Earlier tonight I felt when Gabe’s and Ale’s mate bond was completed, and the feeling was strange. I mean to be turned on by two people that I don’t see that way it just threw me off. So, I called on my mother, and she told me I will feel everything not to her extent just yet for I’m not the moon goddess, but I will feel their births, mates, deaths, pain, and suffering.” “Fuck! I don’t like the sound of that. We have to get you ready, that has to be emotionally exhausting,” he says running his fingers through his hair. “But the curious thing is that she said things would get easier and better once I have found my mates. Mates! As in plural.” His mouth hung open in shock. “A, she said she me

** It was a theory - an outlandish theory, but a theory nonetheless. One that made sense. One that would explain a lot. We couldn't prove that Marie II was Mama's spirit guide - the one responsible for possessing her and taking over her body and will. Spirit guides - met tet, djab, whichever term - were personal. Therefore, it would be difficult for us to find out exactly who Mama's djab was unless Mama went through a head washing or lave tet. This process took days, and if done incorrectly, could result in bad luck, mental illness or even death. But with a proper lave tet, one could come into direct contact with their met tet and their identity.

Her eyes widened again, jaw-dropping. It took her a few seconds before she started talking in a whisper that, if not for my werewolf hearing, I would not be able to pick up. "You can't do that. Mommy said mates are a gift from the Moon Goddess. And it will hurt her. It will hurt you too, you know."

“And what the hell do you mean by mated? Because I didn’t mate anybody and nobody mated me. Unless being assaulted twice counts as a ceremony here.” She pressed her hand to her forehead like my human brain cells were stressing her spiritually. “Okay,” she said. “Let me explain ‘mate’ to a human… in the simplest possible way… before you explode.” She cleared her throat. Then pointed at me. “You know how in human movies, there’s always that dramatic soulmate stuff where the universe brings two people together because destiny said so?” “Yeah?” “Good. Now imagine that but on steroids. And crack. And more steroids. And maybe mixed with a fever dream no one asked for. That’s a mate.”

Lyra shifted on the bed, turning to face me fully, her fingers fidgeting in her lap as if trying to decide where to begin. “Okay, first of all,” she said, voice dropping to a whisper, “a mate is everything in this world. It’s not like some romantic fling or a random love affair;it’s sacred. Wolves are born with a destined half, chosen by the Moon Goddess herself. When two people are mates, it means they’re meant to be together. Body, heart, soul...everything.” I stared at her, my heart thudding painfully loud in my ears. “But…I’m human.”

For once, his chubby little fingers aren't sticky. “She is your mate,” the council elder says. “It’s not rape if she’s your mate. That’s the law.” "What is wape?" Gregory whispers. "Uh," I grunt. I have no idea how to answer the boy. "Ask your daddy later, okay? But it's a bad thing. It's a very, very bad thing that men do to women."

I really couldn't take the pain anymore. "A mate is a short word for a soulmate. You may only get one in your entire life. They make you whole. They are your rock, your light, and your sole purpose of living. All werewolves have one, no matter what gender or what they look like. They are practically made for you as The Moon Goddess gave you a gift in the form of a human being. They are your opposite, your equal, your everything. They are the most important person in your life and once they die, it gives you unimaginable pain and sorrow. In your eyes, they are the most beautiful person you know, and any flings or romantic relationships you had before is nothing compared to what you both share

He took away my right. ‘Noooo Miha. He gave you me. I would not come without mate. He let me come to you.’ ‘What? What are you rambling about now? I would’ve gotten my wolf on my 18th birthday like every other wolf.’ I said ‘No Miha. You are destined for greatness. Like your mother and your mothers mother. You need mate. Mate will keep you safe as you take back what is ours. Mate is needed in order for me to become ME!’ She says striking a sexy pose in all her black fluffiness.

"She’s not a character, Nora! She’s a Malware-Skin! The Algorithm is using your mother’s likeness to bypass the 'Emotional Firewall'!" The Mother of All Errors The Cyber-Witch Mia didn't flinch as the "Periods" struck her digital field. They simply dissolved into glowing pixels. She raised a hand made of shimmering light, and the basement’s "Discarded Dialogue" crates exploded, turning into a swarm of flying neon daggers.

he ordered the maid, "just pour it on the ground and covered her mouth. She's already disrupted my peace enough." As Marvins left, Aloha tried to crawl towards the maid, desperation evident in her eyes. "Wait! Can you please tell me what 'mate' means?" she pleaded. The maid, Ximena, looked down at her with a mixture of pity and caution. "A mate is a partner given by the moon goddess. It's a connection that runs deep among werewolves." Aloha's eyes widened as she began to grasp the implications. "So, I'm Alpha Ragnar's mate? But why doesn't he know? Your Alpha said she didn't know either."
