She stated and pointed to the door. "Mother, leave her alone." Mika whined and stood. I saw her mating necklace dangle from her neck. Odd. She hated the thing as much as I did. Supernatural babies were given these necklaces at birth by the Muses. Find the other half of the pendant hanging on the necklace and you find your mate. It was an outdated practice that didn't allow women to choose whom they wanted to love. Gay matings were rare and if you turned out to be part of the gay community but your mate wasn't, you were still expected to mate with them. Love them. Produce heirs, with them. Traumatic experiences like those drove many to turn rogue. Break their necklaces and live with the conse

I've always heard that mates are able to connect telepathicly. In a way that needs no words or actions. No eye contact. I always thought it was crap. It did not make sense, and no one ever talked about it. Even the mated wolves. Over time, it is believed that this ability died when the moon godess dissapeared and left a high priestess as a messnger.

Mary immediately carried a crying Selena into her bedroom. "What happened to mommy and daddy? Is he going to die?" Selena asked through sobs. "My dear, your mother is his mate, so he will live. She'll keep him alive," Mary said, while soothing the little girl. "Mate?" Selena inquired. "Yes, they are soulmates. The mate bond between werewolves is a powerful thing. It is a connection that runs deep, a merging of souls that is rare and precious. When two werewolves are mates, they can feel each other's emotions and thoughts and even share their life force. In times of danger or illness, a mate can save the other from death by sacrificing their own energy to heal them," Mary explained.

He bent down to meet Nena’s level, “I’m Maya’s mate.” “You’re Ma’s what??” “Ma?” He was shocked yet again. I stood up and dusted my clothes, “Don’t mind her.” I looked at him. “Isn’t she supposed to be Maya’s little sister?” He asked. “Yes.” I placed my hand on Nena’s head again, “Ma is just Maya shortened.” Nena tugged on my pants and I looked at her. “What’s a mate?” “It’s a thing with werewolves only. A mate is like their life partner, just that they’re fated to be together.”

she continued. Miss Mata stands fiercely, ready to fight. Angrily stared at the dark tornado. “She is a Kala witch. Jheval, a soul thief and an eye eater. I cannot defeat her, she took my eyes before that’s how I died a century ago.” She says and Mike placed Helena’s puppies into their basket. “So, how old are you this year?” Rasmiah says which made Miss Mata groans and rolls her brown eyes.

Fated Mates are nothing more than a term to control werewolves under the guise of witchcraft used by those cultists that say the Moon Goddess speaks to them. This girl is crazy, got it. "I am sorry, Juniper. I know not what you speak. We do not have fat mates in this pack." I raise my hands in a bit of a defensive manner, hoping to not have to deal with a fanatic zealot first thing in the morning.

Her tiny voice brought him back to reality. Giving the little girl a sad smile before opening her mouth to say " she is my mate" " mate? What's a mate?" The girl ask the question that was in her mind. Mates are our destinies given to us by the moon goddess which we are to love and Cherish for the rest of our lives. Us wolves have mates and this makes it easy for us to know our soulmates. Epie made an o but no sound leaving her mouth "but she is dead" she said the obvious

"You must have heard about the Moon goddess who serve as a god for the Werewolves, haven't you?" "The moon goddess is real??" Samuel asked with widened eyes were were filled with surprise and disbelief. "Just like the God you humans serve.. we serve the moon goddess, and she is responsible for the term.. mates." "So what exactly is this.. mates. What does it mean?" "It means the moon goddess bonded I and " he turned to princess who casted her eyes down when she was caught staring. "Your sister… princess together to become one." Samuel's jaw dropped as he turned from his sister back to Aidan and back and forth until he almost yelled

“I know I am a terrible daughter for sleeping in when my sole purpose to stay here was to look after you all. Where is Mia? She should have woken me up.” “Dear,” Mom began in a relaxed voice, taking the spoon back from me. “I am completely healthy now. My body was attacked by witchcraft, not an ailment. Witchcraft is a unique kind of wildfire. It spreads quickly and burns anything that comes in contact with it. However, once extinguished, its victims flourish again instantly. The damage is not permanent.” “Mom!” I complained. How could she take a near-death experience so lightly?

“I mean it’s not my fault. No one gave me any proper information so how was I supposed to know?” “So your prestigious university doesn’t teach some common sense? There was ‘mother’ in her name, you couldn’t use context to draw conclusions?” I waved him off. “Aiii, my king, come on you can’t use that argument. How could I use context when she literally also had Luna in her name.” “So?” “So, it's not a real thing. It’s only used in books—these werewolf books,” I leaned my head forward slightly, smirking at him. “Is your mother a werewolf? Are you?”
