Kim whispered to Mariane while her eyes were glued to the doctor’s face. Mariane pursed her lips as she tried to hold back from laughing at the silliness of her friend. Luckily, she was facing her back at Zach, who was oblivious to what Mariane and Kim were talking about, as he was busy checking vitals of Diego. Mariane cleared her throat and faced Zach. “By the way, this is my friend, Kim-” Mariane got interrupted when Kim suddenly approached Zach and introduced herself. “Hi. I’m Kimberly Chua. You can call me Kimmy or Kim… Or I can be your Baby,” Kim winked at Zach which made the latter stunned.

To shake off those thoughts, I buried myself into my heaps of documents waiting on top of my table. At about six in the afternoon, my phone rang. It was Kim. "Please come over," he said. "We'll be waiting for you." I would have wanted to protest, but since I knew he was in the middle of a meeting, I just agreed right away. Kim walked to meet me the moment I peeped in. I made a slight bow and pursed a smile, sending my respect to the small crowd of shareholders who were watching us. "Ladies and gentlemen, standing before you now is our new Asian branch manager, Miss Yen Ramos. Please welcome her into the family."

One of the guys from work stood there. “What is it?” I asked. “Madam Kim wants to see you in her office. Now.” I nodded. “Okay. I’ll go.” Then I turned to Nyra. “Wait here for me; I’ll be back.” In Madam Kim’s office I met her seated behind her desk as usual. The air smelled faintly of ink and old wood, and as always she was bent over papers going through financial records, but then she lifted her head the second she sensed me.

Chapter Thirty One "I still don't have any clue yet. Boss said he will take care of it." Kimberly told chloe over the phone. "Alright, be careful, okay? Or you should at least stay away from your boss." Chloe suggested. "Why? Anyway, I will be careful. Bye, I have things to do." Kimberly ended the call Chloe could say anything further. It was such a hectic day at work. Damien made everyone work like they are the one who caused him so much trouble.

“The boy has not seen much yet. This is the perfect opportunity for him to be shaken up to his reality.” “Hmm,” Kim smiled. “If there’s anything you need me to do, I’ll be just outside,” she bowed and went to her way out. CHAPTER 53: THE HEAD OF ANALYTICS DAMIEN: Kim and I came to the office together as we have been doing these past couple of days. The morning sun filtered through the tinted windows of my office, casting a warm glow on the glass table as I reviewed the presentation notes. Today was a special day for me. Kim was finally going to be introduced as the Head of Analytics in Carter Corporation.

Manager Kim rushed to the medical camp. Her eyes were bloodshot red with her fist clenched tightly. All the way from the village to the camp, her mind was filled with anger. She really can't accept how ridiculous their situation is. "Where is that suicidal patient?" she asked the nurse immediately. She's trying to control the riling emotions in her. She doesn't want to startle the nurse in front of her. The female nurse got startled by her sudden appearance. "You were that person who came here earlier right?"

“I don’t think it could be…” Kim started to defy my orders when I gave him a mad glare. “Pack Up !!” Instantly he stopped, “I’ll see what I can do…” And then he disappeared from my sight allowing me to let out a breath of relief. Only a few minutes passed to my joy when Kim appeared again with a thin file and started reading from it, “You can’t walk away from this just like that…” “Why not??” I gave him a quizzical look.
