I sent the swab in under a false name. The results arrive on a Thursday morning by email, which is the delivery method of the service I used, and I am at my desk when the notification comes in, which means I have my coffee and my laptop and nowhere to go for the next however long this takes, which turns out to be approximately forty-five seconds to read and approximately three hours to process.

Relief crossed Jason's face. Actual relief. The kind he rarely allowed himself. "But." I groaned. "There is always a but." Michael laughed. "There is." He sat down across from us. Therefore, Rory was with Dr. Patel for an entire hour. Well, they came back, and Harvey was eating the food Nurse Martha had brought for them. “I thought the X-ray machine fell on you or something.” He mocked, looking away briefly from his phone once both Rory and Dr. Patel came in.

Then Ruben's parents arrived, he told them everything, after that they waited, then the doctor came out and told them: -He was born, it is a boy. One hour. I sank into the nearest plastic chair in the waiting area, impatiently tapping my shoe against the linoleum floor. The rhythm echoed in the quiet room, tap, tap, tap. Every minute felt like an eternity.

He does fuss or cry even once. “Okay, these samples with be ran in our rapid diffuser and analyzed soon after. You should have your results within two to four hours. You’ll receive an automated call when the results are ready. You’ll both receive a portal entry code in which you’ll be able to log in and view your results. Do you have any questions for me?” She says as she stands patiently awaiting any concerns. “No, thank you.” I respond as Celeste wipes Lexington’s mouth with a tissue. “Okay, you’re free to go whenever you’re ready. Bye-bye Lexington.” She waves at him as she leaves.
