Maria Gift Novels & Stories

In their eyes, I was already guilty of something. As I set the bowl on a small table near my cot, one of the older servants, Greta, one of the old servants who had been here for a few years approached me. "You need to be careful, Maria," she said quietly, her voice tinged with worry. I glanced at her, confused. "Careful? About what?" "Alpha Felix doesn’t give gifts without expecting something in return," she warned. Her words sent a chill down my spine. "I didn’t ask for this," I said defensively.

and everyone was talking with others. "So you're Brandon's girlfriend?" I turned to see a woman in her 30s. She was drinking her champagne too and she looked at me with these arrogant eyes. "Yes and who are you?" I asked in a nice tone and put my hand in front of her to shake my hand. "I'm Maria from the Prance Diamond and Jewelry." She said and ignored my nice gesture. I put down my hand and decided to walk away.. but suddenly she held my arm.

Once I settled on the comfortable white leather seats with a crest branded on them, I noticed a wrapped gift box. Since I haven't been instructed to open it, I tried to mind my own business. The crest is a gold rose with thorns. The letter B sits at the center. Padre used to say that families with crests and banners are old money. I feel nervous. I'm not sure how this date will go or what he wants. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. "I'm sorry Miss Maria. I forgot to mention that the gift is yours." "Oh thank you! Thank you." No one has given me a gift in a long time. The last one was my father just before he told me I'm going to get married to Fabian Belucci. I set the box on my lap. I

she grinned. “What are you doing Maria? Do you know who you're disrespecting?” Another lady said, walking in. Her breathing was heavy with fear written on her face. “You mean this pauper?,” Maria snapped. “I caught her with this infinity card,” she said, holding the card up high. “Mr Diego Montenegro informed us about his wife's visit today. So if she has the card, she must be Mrs Monte— “Oh shut up, Belinda. What do you know?” Maria slammed her hands on the counter.

Of legacy. I look around at the people I love. Dell and Tati are swaying together near the drinks table, Tim bouncing between their legs. Luca’s mom couldn’t make it—she’s abroad for work—but she sent a ridiculously large stuffed giraffe and a heartfelt letter that made me cry in the shower. Even Maria sent a gift. A leather-bound photo album. Empty pages waiting to be filled. I think it’s her way of saying, “This is your family now.” A quiet truce. A long-overdue olive branch.

“Look, I’m trying to be nice here. Would you like something to drink? Tea? Coffee?” “I don’t want your cheap tea,” Marisa snapped. “I want to see my son. Where is Alejandro?” “He’s not here. Maybe you should ask the nanny.” Just then, Maria walked in from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel and smiling sweetly. “Señora Favino! What a pleasure to see you. Can I get you something? We have a lovely Spanish red wine.” Marisa’s eyes lit up. “The most expensive one you have. And make it quick.”

"I got a gift for you," I was excited to see the type of gift that she brought. It was my favorite: a strawberry shortcake and a pink wristwatch. "Have you heard from Allison?" "Do I need to hear from her?" Maria pouted. "You are her friend." I smiled shaking my head as I watched her walk away. "My life has been going great nowadays," I said and Maria turned to look at me. "Have you ever thought of visiting your father's pack?" "No, I haven't," I said then smiled. "I left the pack as a young girl with no intention of going back."

All right, we can't stop from that. Now let me call: The Laxamana and Montefalco Empire. Let us give them a round of applause," said the host loudly as the sound of people's clapping thundered as the Montefalco couple entered. I could see in Maria's eyes the great joy of seeing her again. He wanted to approach her, but he remembered that she was no longer his daughter. When the Montefalcos sat down, the Laxamana couple came in next, and then Mrs. Marimar Laxamana came on the red carpet because she was a widow five years ago. People were confused by Maria's standout appearance in her evening dress, with its open back and long slit at the hem, with her plump and white thighs, and more. The ib

She took another step and curved her fingertips inside the collar of the gown as she felt it chaining her down. She looked around, stacks of boxes, and gifts lay there, including her suitcases and the meitre blue wedding cake. She slowly began to circle them as hot torrents of grief coursed down her face she leisurely picked one and read the seal 'To Lijie & Cadeau', she half-smiled creeping up her face with wrinkles. She then let go in fear as deep emotions stirred with no other outlet but her long lasting sobs the lungs gave out. She quickly covered her mouth suppressing the echos of her own voice melted by the place.

she called hugging Maria. “ oh my baby Lisa” Maria called smiling as they released their hug. “You didn’t tell me you were back,” Maria said smiling as she turned to her friend who was smiling at them. “This is Gloria, the wife of the chairman of Finesse fashion house, and Gloria this is my goddaughter, Marina's daughter” She introduced them to each other while Lisa hugged and greeted her. “ you are very beautiful in person Lisa and I’m a huge fan of your runway shows and also a friend of your dead mother,” she said for Lisa to blush.
