Claimed By My Best Friend’s Daddy
Mirabel said, closing her phone, “we could sleep together in my room tonight if you want. Instead of you being alone here, we could have like a sleepover. We can binge-watch something stupid and eat leftovers at midnight. What do you say?”
I hesitated, then nodded. “Yeah. That sounds nice.”
She beamed. “Awesome. My bed’s huge, and don’t worry, we won’t even kick each other.”
A knock at the door interrupted us.
Maria poked her head in, an apron tied around her waist, her smile kind and polite. “Girls, the table’s set. Pasta’s getting cold, and Mr. Connell is waiting. Come down when you’re ready.”
Mirabel hopped up. “Thanks, Maria! We’ll be right there.”
