Nasty Games: Playing With The Ruthless Mafia

Nasty Games: Playing With The Ruthless Mafia

Her strong French accent is clearly audible. "Hi Catharina, I'm fine. And no, look at you. You're gorgeous." I reciprocate by hugging. Catharina Zulueta. She is a very kind lady. When I used to come here to go on missions with, you know, she cared for me like her real daughter she never had and served as my other mother. This place felt like home to me. She is Conrad's sister, yet she raises Connor as if she were his own mother.

Yours, Forever

Yours, Forever

They both nodded, "Understood. We'll keep digging, and we'll make sure to return with the required information." Damien nodded, watching them as they exited the office. One and only star girl, and most pretty girl In Kettlesworth back then, disowned by her family… As he shook his head in disbelief, he vowed to get to the bottom of this. Yes, he would! …….

My Cruel Death Killed Him Too

My Cruel Death Killed Him Too

Instead, he went to the cemetery. My tombstone had already been erected, right beside my parents'. Connor stood there, holding the cardboard box Chris had given him. Inside were my diary and notes. He stood there for a long time before crouching down. Then, he opened the box and took out the diary. This time, he started from the very first page. "Today, Connor was training in the field. I secretly brought him water, and he didn't even realize it was from me. What an idiot."

My One Night Stand WIth Mr CEO

My One Night Stand WIth Mr CEO

how has your nonexistent one night stander of an assistant? Grayson's brows arched in question, ‘In what way is she relevant to this conversation??'. ‘Come on I'm on vacation', Connor grinned, ‘I need every bit of gossip I can grasp before I get enlisted again'. ‘You know sometimes I question how such a masculine man as your self loves gossip so much...are you sure you're not hiding anything under the closet Connor??'. Grayson couldn't help but smirk as he loved returning the energy when it came to ruffling Connor's feathers.

“Fuck. Fuck, shit and bollocks.” Concertinaed into the back of the Jag, my car was totalled. The Jag didn’t fare much better. I prised the driver’s door open, my palms clammy and my heart racing. In my wrecked car, Bella wailed, Harry chanted shit and bollocks and Isaac sat dazed, rubbing his neck. I walked to the side of the Jag. A giant man, no a God, definitely a God, stepped out of the expensive car. A well-fitted, high-quality suit covered his broad, muscular frame. His square shoulders were tight, his lush, soft lips pulled into a hard line. He examined the back of his car, shaking his head before locking his ice-blue eyes on me. My pussy clenched. I dug my nails into my fist, fighting

SATOU, D.
The story was very detailed. It was good. I like how the author made it. It was like a professional estimated novel. Good for the readers who can understand better. Notw: I skipped the news and more. I scanned it. 10 for the scene. 8 for the dialogue. Over all almost 10.

The storyline is quite interesting, although we don't that need the news part so much. The dialogue and the scene is balanced, so far. I mean, it's like 50/50 if I may say. Overall, good. Can't wait for another chapter and cliffhanger 🙈

UNWANTED LUNA

UNWANTED LUNA

In the dimly lit clearing, amidst the murmurs of the surrounding trees, Ivan Abraham, Alpha of the Blood Thorn Pack, delivered the crushing blow that shattered Nadina Sebastien's world. “I Ivan Abraham, Alpha of the blood thorn pack rejects you, Nadina Sebastien.” His words, dripping with disdain, cut through the air like a sharpened blade, leaving Nadina clutching her chest as tears streamed down her face. Another scar, both physical and emotional, marred the once unblemished skin of her neck, marking yet another rejection from an alpha.

Night Wolves

He looked up at me and spat out a chunk of the man, and nodded, ready to go. I walked on, opening doors to make sure they were clear as we passed, knowing Xander and Elias probably had Balista cornered in one of them. I kicked in a door to the left, and no one was there. "Clear!" A few wolves ran past, but Seven stayed on my flank. Gunfire, growling, shouts, and screams echoed off the walls in the warehouse as we made our way through. I kicked open a door to the right. Nothing. "Clear!" Then I came to another door across the hallway and heard voices. I kicked it open, and Xander and Elias were standing there nude, having just shifted, and Balista and Sasha were backed against the wall.

The Unprepared Luna

The Unprepared Luna

Quinn’s is very similar to mine. “They are mated to twins, Eli,” Aunt Grace says, turning back to me. “Are you happy, sweetheart?” “Yes, Aunt Grace. I’m very happy.” “Good. And based on the contentment I’m feeling from you pack, you must be doing a great job as Canyon Ridge’s Luna.” “Well…” I say, looking down. “She’s the perfect Luna for me and for our pack,” Cohen says, coming up beside me and wrapping his arm around me. “Sorry, I couldn’t stay away any longer,” he says, leaning in to kiss me.

I have truly enjoyed this novella. I have also enjoyed the entire Guardian series. From the 3 originals, the prequel of that set the stage for the start of it all, to the continuation of all the children born. These stories have so many trials for them to overcome. Best series!

I absolutely enjoy ALL of Cooper's books from each series. Cooper has a socials page that informs the reader of other areas where he has written other series that are AMAZING as well. I suggest reading all Cooper has written, you won't be disappointed. This book was great, the ML/FL are perfect for

Before I Go

Before I Go

Zoe kept the proceedings going, and I was grateful for that. Connor knelt before my casket, refusing to budge no matter how many people tried to make him leave. No one wanted to stir up trouble at such a somber event, so after a few failed attempts, everyone eventually gave up trying to persuade him. Connor had been awarded the nickname 'Hawk-Eye' because of his keen intuition in finance, but the truth was, it was a fitting moniker, for his eyes were fierce and clear as a hawk's. Everyone who locked eyes with him would always have the uncanny feeling that his gaze could penetrate their thoughts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unwind' by Neal Shusterman is one of those books that sticks with you long after you finish it. The main theme revolves around the ethical and moral dilemmas of a society that has legalized 'unwinding'—a process where teenagers can be harvested for their organs if their parents consent. It’s a chilling exploration of how far humanity might go to solve problems like overpopulation or unwanted children, wrapped in a dystopian package. The book forces you to question what it means to be human and where the line should be drawn when it comes to individual rights versus societal 'greater good.'

What really got me was how the characters grapple with their own humanity. Connor, Risa, and Lev each represent different perspectives on unwinding, from rebellion to acceptance to religious justification. The way Shusterman weaves their stories together makes you empathize with their struggles, even when their choices are heartbreaking. It’s not just about the horror of unwinding; it’s about identity, survival, and the fight for autonomy in a world that sees you as disposable.
