LIGHT AFTER DARK

LIGHT AFTER DARK

“Even so, after that, you were mine.” “No, I wasn’t!” she cried, shaking her head. “No woman, inexperienced or otherwise, responds like that to one man and then marries another a week later, still busily maintaining that she madly loves the unfortunate groom. At least, no honest, decent woman...” he gibed. “Shut up, Christophe!” There was a sob in her voice. Initially, Lara had gone to Randall, determined that their marriage shouldn’t take place. Confessing all, she had expected Randall to be outraged.

Emma, ive read MOST of your books posted on this app. Its short, but very precise, character development wise for the leads, it was very good. Some chapters have amazing cliff hangers you wouldnt want to miss. Def every penny spent on this app is worth it reading your books. Keep it up!

My Marriage Is A Contract

My Marriage Is A Contract

"That's not a problem, you can leave your husband and get a divorce from him. I don't care if you are married; you belong to me and me alone." "Are you crazy?!" Charlotte busted out in anger. She used all of her energy to push Christian's hands off her. "You really expect me to leave my husband for you?" "Listen Charlotte, I know five years have passed but I still feel the same way about you. Plus, I know that the marriage between Sebastian and you is just a contract marriage. You guys never even met prior to a month before your marriage." Charlotte's heart stopped beating for a moment when she heard Christian say that her marriage was based on a contract.

So much to say, so little space. The author is apologetic for errors. Honestly, I noticed some, but not enough to ruin the story. This was definitely an emotional roller coaster, and much more tame than most of the content on this app in the smut dept. Great read, highly recommended!

A Marriage of Convenience

A Marriage of Convenience

For families like theirs, marriage was never about love—it was a calculated transaction, a means to maximize benefits. Personal choice was nothing more than a luxury they weren’t entitled to. Sure, on paper, Grace had married well—a husband of impeccable lineage, wealth, and striking looks. But what was the point? They had gone their separate ways after a short period they signed the papers. They didn’t see each other, not even enough to put on a pretense of a functional marriage. And who knew? Perhaps Raphael had already built a whole other life for himself in Australia.

The Man Behind the Mask

The Man Behind the Mask

That was four months ago when my husband had come home drunk after a night out. By then, we had started fighting constantly and sleeping in separate rooms. However, that night, he mistook me for someone else and was unusually passionate. I figured it was a chance to reconcile, so I did not resist. That night, I got pregnant. My name is Elizabeth Crane. I married my husband, Mark Russell, a year ago, after being set up on a blind date. For the first two months, things were great, but then it all started falling apart. I thought getting pregnant would be the turning point in our relationship, but instead, it marked the end of our marriage.

The Stranger My Heart Belonged To

The Stranger My Heart Belonged To

“You promised me you’d find Sadie. You promised me you’d end her. But she’s still out there breathing, isn’t she?” Randall didn’t even look up. He sat back in his leather chair, swirling his glass of amber liquor with infuriating calm. I grabbed a crystal ornament from his desk and threw it — hard. It shattered against the wall. “And you—” my voice cracked, my fury spilling over, “you can’t even get me pregnant! What kind of man are you?” His hand froze mid-sip. Slowly, his head lifted, and when his eyes met mine, they were pure danger.

His Perfect Wife Strikes Back

His Perfect Wife Strikes Back

This strikes me as a bit of a puzzle. Plus, Frade got me Lady Mary's address. She's staying at a motel. It is said that she has cancer. Her husband took out a loan shark in her name, and then he ran off with all the family savings after Mary got sick. Desperate, Mary searched for her husband, but when she finally saw him again, he pushed her down the stairs and broke her leg. That sounds pathetic. But this is a very common thing in this world. Men always put their own interests before love. When he decided to abandon his family, he would not hesitate to push women into hell, regardless of their feelings.

Untold Love

Untold Love

Accept him. Dizziness swamped her. Married...married...married... The bed twirled in her vision, a swirling mass of color...blues, greens, whites...she backed away from it...it stomped closer to her, mocking her still...the pillows like white fangs reaching out for her...she stumbled backward into her closet, tripping on her shoes, grasping at anything that would hold her to this earth. This is your life, Chrissie...it’s not a dream...it’s not a nightmare...you are married...you are not you anymore... Clothes ripped off hangers, piling on top of her, strangling her, wrapping around her throat, pulling tight. Race Willard...Chrissie Willard...married...one year...gone... She fought them

Falling For Mr King

Falling For Mr King

“He’s such a monster, Marie. How do you cope? Married for seven weeks and he didn't even so much as hold my hand! Our last and only kiss was on our bloody wedding day!” Marie had long given up defending Steven and reminding Sandra that it was supposed to be marriage-in-name only because it only made Sandra get all prickly and accuse Marie of still being in love with Steven. “Why are you going through all this trouble anyway, Marie. Not like he's going to notice you and want you.” Sandra must have caught Marie's eyes in the mirror because she immediately tried to apologize. “Look, I just mean that you should be careful. See what I went through.”

Rich Heir Rebirth: No More Childhood Sweetheart

Rich Heir Rebirth: No More Childhood Sweetheart

On the day I was discharged from the hospital, Ruth showed up. She walked into my room, looking exhausted. I thought she'd come to apologize. Instead, she rubbed her temples impatiently and said, "I can't take this anymore. I'll marry you." Then, she turned and left. The abruptness of her words left me stunned for a moment. It wasn't until later that I learned the truth. During the days I was hospitalized, the Lonsdale family ran into the same crisis they had in my past life. They were on the verge of bankruptcy.

Contract Marriage With My Childhood Best Friend

Contract Marriage With My Childhood Best Friend

“I get it. Life hasn’t been kind to either of us, has it?” Isabelle tilted her head, intrigued. “What do you mean?” Mary Jane leaned back, her gaze turning distant. “I was married once. Thought it would last forever. But my husband… he ran off with someone else, leaving me with our child and no explanation.” Isabelle’s heart softened. “I’m sorry. That must have been awful.” “It was,” Mary Jane admitted. “But it taught me how strong I could be. And now, I work hard to give my son the life he deserves.”
