Amy whispered.
They did nothing, in fact. I was the one who did everything! I chased the administrator of that estate for weeks and sent them ten-page—ten-page!—emails, explaining why that place was the venue of my dream wedding. Now they were so shamelessly getting married at the place I booked.
"To hell with those two," I slammed my desk and, in a fit of rage, barged into my boss's office without knocking.
Such action made him slowly look up in my direction. My body trembled, my hands were clenched into fists, and my face must have been expressive because he looked confused.
