JOSH POV I check my appearance in the hotel’s floor length mirror one last time. I just had a haircut in preparation for tonight’s date… hopeful date, anyway. I have it styled short on the sides and back with a little longer on top. Several of the guys on the team say it is a soft, modified version of a high and tight and I can’t disagree. I don’t like my hair long. Never have. It makes my helmet sit weird if it’s too long. That’s a distraction on the field that I don’t need. So, I’ve set a haircut schedule to every three weeks and that seems to be the perfect interval to keep it manageable.

The long strands fell to the floor, and I felt my stomach fall along with it.

The different ways they styled their sandy blond hair was the only way most people could tell them apart, though I never seemed to have any trouble. Colton had short hair, faded on the sides and spiky on top. Clay had short hair too but it was longer on top, all sexily mussed with an angled fringe. But Cary had the sexiest look of all. As she takes inches off my hair, it seems to get lighter and lighter. No wonder people like their hair shorter. Once she is satisfied with my length, she moves back to Scarlett to wash her hair out. They talk of hair styles for her while washing out the color. When they return, I am shocked to see that Scarlett's hair is a dark, almost midnight blue. The color is amazing.
