Rori looked on in terror as Mina’s eyes began to glow purple, but as she glanced at Kristi, her friend looked like she was in pain. “Leave them alone Mina!” Rori roared and almost as if her anger fueled the flits they appeared to grow in size and intensity. Murdok roared at the top of his lungs and let a large plume of fire escape his throat, attempting to lure the small fire creatures away from the suffering boy, but as the inferno burst free the flames seemed to move on their own and began to swirl around Rori’s body. The flits immediately dropped Mason and swarmed Rori, they buzzed and flew in blurred streaks around her, creating virtually a funnel cloud of flame and heat.

Straightening, she adjusted her flame-red gauntlets, her fiery eyes flicking between Maria and Nina. “Well, well,” the woman said with a grin, her voice carrying a playful lilt. “Looks like someone’s finally giving you a rough time, Maria. I’ve been waiting for this moment to show off my skills.” Maria smirked faintly. “I guess everyone has their time.” The woman grinned wider, pounding a fist against her armored chest. “Don’t worry. Whoever’s trailing you won’t live long enough to regret it.” This was Lysandra Blaze, the Fire Seraph, known for her fiery temperament and unmatched combat prowess. Her presence alone was enough to inspire both confidence and dread.
