Mary Janice Davidson Novels & Stories

I reply. Her gasp is almost audible. "But why would he care? Unless…" "Unless it affects whatever plan he has for Mrs. Williams’ company," I finish for her. Janet leans back in her chair, processing everything. Her eyes are distant, but there’s a fire in them that wasn’t there before. "David," she says, her voice trembling slightly. "I’m in. Whatever it takes. I know he killed my parents." I turn to her, studying her face. There’s a weight behind her words, something she’s been holding back.

Janice shook her head as she thought of how protective he was of the baby already. She wondered if he was doing it to ascend the throne, since she had heard his father, the king, was deceased. Whichever it was, she wouldn't let him take the baby away from her, she vowed. *********** “Congratulations Miss…” The doctor, David, trailed off, gazing at the woman in front of him. “Sketches,” Janice mumbled. “Congratulations, Miss Sketches, you are pregnant.” David grinned. “As if I don't know,” she muttered.

David bumped into me then looked at me confused as to why I had stopped. David side stepped me and glanced at the front door. I was in disbelief as I saw his tall form standing at the front door with Marcy looking at him as if he was some prize to be won at a carnival. Marcy turned to see me staring and with the biggest school girl grin she approached me and squealed, “Alexa. He’s here to see you.” I allowed my gaze to follow his muscular form all the way up to his face. Jayce Adams was standing by the office door surrounded by people from the office greeting him.

She must be in her late forties or something if she had achieved so much. Poor Ryan! "Here she is. Team, I would like to introduce our new project manager, Samantha Perez." David beamed proudly. I looked up from my game to see who this mysterious woman was and literally choked on my own saliva, gaining everyone's attention. "Fuck," I muttered under my breath and loosened my tie to breathe a little. "Mr.Wilson, are you okay?" David asked with a concerned look on his face and I smiled assuring him that everything was fine. I could feel a pair of hazel brown eyes staring at me from right across the room and I swallowed hard, unable to believe my own eyes

“Don’t you dare suggest we go find a book to read. I’ll never be able to read a thing. I am curious about David’s thoughts on this. He has a plan, but I don’t know what it is. My curiosity shines, lighting a city. Ugh. I can’t predict this man now.” “Oh, I think you mean curious minds want to know Madam.” Janet said. She smiled, happy to know that we’d been mistaken, and she relaxed. Let me get you a snack while you relax in the living room, waiting for Mr. Hargrove to finish his meeting. I’d forgotten about that. He was in the office wing taking a video call conference meeting. Why I thought he’d left the property, I couldn’t reason out. But I must trust David better than I have been.

*Davidson and Margaret both. Margaret. The name left a bitter taste even in my thoughts. My father's investigation had uncovered her role in the systematic destruction of Lily's spirit—Davidson's sister, a clinical psychologist who had used her professional knowledge to break down Lily's mental defenses more efficiently. My arms tightened fractionally around my sleeping mate as I remembered the details my father had shared in a follow-up call just after midnight. Margaret Davidson-Wells hadn't just been complicit in her brother's abuse—she had been instrumental in designing it. She was also sleeping with her brother and claimed to be his wife, another sick twisted plot they both acted on.

It was quite easy to transform Jane Puckett, scholarship student and chronic coffee drinker, into Jailbird, the mysterious masked dancer in Fantasy Island. The hangover would have to wait. Bills didn't pay themselves.

"What's her personality like?" [Gentle, courageous, a little stubborn after all, is a good person.] “Why are all the characters so good here… Everyone has their struggles. Now I don't know if I should hate it or like it. But then I also know that at this time, President Jane is 28 to 30. Is my guess right?" [David Jane – 42 years old.] “In general, it's okay to guess nearby. So I guess the three male leads are also 32 years old.”

I was still in this state that evening when I heard the loud thuds of footsteps heading toward my bedroom, and the door was suddenly thrown open to reveal a furious Jian with his phone in hand. “Explain this,” He tossed his phone on the bed, and my heart began racing as I reached for it only to see the news headline that read: “Renowned Businessman, and sole founder of the Davidson’s empire, Clifford Davidson publicly exposed for having an affair with his secretary, Sylvia Lancaster, which resulted in the birth of his illegitimate daughter, Rose Lancaster,”

“David here is interesting.” “How so?” Janet couldn’t see what he was seeing. “Here.” He highlighted David’s mother's name. “Elizabeth Gaines, but if she was married it would be Elizabeth Jones. Hence the initials EJ.” Janet gasped not wanting to believe. “No David isn’t a killer.” She wanted it to be true, but now she wasn’t so sure. Could the man that was so obsessed with her be the man strangling women? Was all his moral values all out the window now that he was already a sinner? That didn’t make a person a killer though.
