My Billionaire Ex-Husband's Regret
David was right but I hated the fact that people wouldn’t stop bringing Maxim’s name into our conversations.
He was a bad chapter in my story and I wanted to forget about him completely. Maxim was a fraud and it wasn’t nice for David to compare him to Alexander.
Ignoring the lump that had formed in my throat, I continued. “David, I know that you want what’s best for me, but please don’t bring up Maxim again.”
“I’m sorry, I just want to make sure that you’re making the right choice.” David apologized, his voice calm and gentle.
“I know and I’m grateful for that, but I’m sure of my decision,” I replied, my voice firm. I didn’t want anyone that would make me second guess my decision.
