Alex POV I looked at my mate as she clung to my best friend. Pain filled my heart when she wouldn’t come to me instead. Could it be because Creeds the one that found her? The car ride back to the pack was torture I watched as she shifted in pain in his lap but didn’t move from it just held onto him for safety. I wanted to pull her away from him and hold her so close to me that no space was left. But I couldn’t. He made her feel safe at this moment and the last thing I need is ruin that. His black hair cascaded down his shoulders, his eyes were icy and calculated, and there was a cruel smirk playing at his lips as he looked at the pair. “Ah, the lovebirds reunited,” he said, his voice smooth and mocking. “Touching.” Neither Serena nor Alexandro replied. Maeron approached Alexandro and studied him. “You’re stronger than I expected,” he said thoughtfully. “Even under silver. Remarkable.” “Let me out, and I’ll show you what remarkable really means,” Alexandro growled. Maeron chuckled. “I’m sure you would. But you’re too valuable to waste in a direct fight.”

It ended up killing hundreds of Humans before they finally were able to engineer a process that didn't break down the host, and instead, attached to it. I found out that Max is the main leader of the 4, and what he says goes. The others do not have a say in most Academy related things, or anything, really. I found that he is ruthless and he loves games. I also found out that no one knows what his enhancement is. Not truly, only speculation. This info left me completely unprepared and in the dark, but I was determined to meet with him and do my best to impress him.

He doesn’t affect me the same way as Devin does. I pushed his chest and my hand handed on his cheek. “What the fuck, Max?!” ‘’Ren’’ he held his cheek “you can’t date anyone!” I looked at him sharply as he continued his rant. “Fuck this. I don’t love Megan. I just needed to make an impression on her father, Ren.”

William.. Alex has become a torment in my life, thwarting all my attempts to keep her at bay. She is so different to handle, and I know I am foolish to admit it, but all I want is a semblance of peace of mind, yet now there seems to be no way I can get Sierra back into my life or protect my daughter.

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

He was waiting for me, his son and prized competitor, to emerge after my 20-minute break and win the game, bringing him pride once again. Unfortunately, I didn't think victory would be possible tonight. In this scene Maximus takes over while Shane is sleeping, he shifts, and goes to see her. Maximus is in charge and is driven by his wants.
