Seagulls dive low over the water, their cries piercing the crushing noise of the surf. The scenery is growing on me. I can get used to this, but I prefer the rugged coastline of Bacolod City. It’s closer to home, except for the Atlantic current that makes the water cold, even in summer. It’s much more pleasant to swim here in the warmer Pacific Ocean.

Ang sikat ng araw sa Manila Bay ay hindi nagdadala ng init, kundi nagpapakita ng lawak ng pinsala. Ang tubig na dating asul ay naging itim dahil sa langis ng mga alien ships at abo ng lungsod. Sa gitna ng look, ang dambuhalang buntot ng The Sovereign ay nakalabas sa tubig, tila isang katedral ng bakal na itinayo sa gitna ng dagat.
