May I Ask For One Final Thing Novels & Stories

“I just have one request.” He shot me a sidelong glance, skepticism and sarcasm all rolled into one look. “A solitary request?” I prodded him with my elbow and he smiled. I felt relieved his good mood wasn’t entirely gone. “Ok, well, two.” “Ok, shoot.” “The first, is that I don’t want anyone to know what the decision is.” His eyebrows shot up. “But–”

I asked while trying to be cool. "Simply. Now tell me about your THE ONE." Alex asked me. "Why should I tell you?" I asked him. "Why shouldn't you tell me?" Alex asked. "I don't know." I replied while pondering over the question. "Maybe I can help you to meet him soon." Alex replied, making me break my chain of thoughts. "Sorry. What?" I asked in confusion. "Tell me what do you expect from your THE ONE?" Alex asked for which I started blushing.

Now I wondered how would I ask her for a party when she is lecturing me about it? “May I ask for one last party before I go on a no party till I am 18 rule?” as soon as I asked her that, she frowned and stared at my face. “Just once? It will be my birthday celebration. Please don’t say no, please. Everybody is looking at me, trying to see how I will celebrate my birthday this year. Please! Just once?” I begged because I knew the instant I tell her what kind of party I was hoping for; she would say no to it.

“I'm not giving any excuses. I'm just asking for privacy. Leave my study. I want to be alone.” He's asking me to leave…???

I’m not asking you to betray your bond, but I would like to ask you for one thing…A kiss. “A kiss?” My hands float up to my lips. “A kiss?”

I think it's good for us. "Is your decision final, huh?" He asked me. I shook my head before I speak to him. "Yes. My decision is final. Why are you still asking, huh? Don't you believe what I said to you?" I inquired. He rolled his eyes and took a deep breath before answering me.

“God knows I need one right now.” “Yes, please do.” As we wait for the coffee to arrive, we continue sitting across from each other and looking into each other’s eyes. I keep expecting him to say something but he doesn’t—I don’t know if it’s because he keeps changing his mind or whether I’m the one getting the wrong idea. Once the coffee arrives and the security guards and the waiter leave, we’re finally alone again. He asks me, “Could I ask you one more thing?” “Yes,” I say after adding sugar to my coffee. “Of course.”

I asked. "About giving you that second chance you've asked for," he said. " Really? Are you willing to give us the second chance ?"I asked "Yes I am"he replied "But tell me something, are you single?"he asked "What?" "Are you single?"he asked again. "Why do you ask that?" "Because I need you to help me with something and in exchange I will give you the contract "He said . "And what will that be?"I asked, knowing that what he was going to tell me would be something that I don't like.
