May I Ask For One Final Thing Novels & Stories

“Need I ask why?” “I have a small, special gift for the happy couple. So, what’s your answer, yes or no?” “Yes”

I didn't want to give her a chance to refute, so I said, "This is my last concession. Madam Mira, I'll give you one night to think about it. Give me an answer tomorrow morning." "What if I don't agree?"

He should’ve brought her here before. I make a mental note to ask him about this later if he doesn’t brush me off. Kai turns to his friend. “I don’t remember asking you to run your mouth about me. All I said was to introduce her and now we’re done.” “No, we’re not done,” Blake says, shaking his head. “I need to ask Ava one more question. It’s vital for my purpose in life. Can I, Ava?” I nod. “Sure. What's it?”

"Nothing more, nothing less." "Alright, I'll let that slide for now," Kim laughed, checking her cue cards before looking back at me with a mischievous grin. "Last question, Your Highness. The Apex Gathering is at the end of the month, and everyone is dying to know who will be on your arm. Who is your plus-one?" I let out a soft laugh, shaking my head. "That’s a top-secret classified matter, Kim." Then, I leaned closer to the microphone, adding playfully, "To be completely honest... I haven't even asked her yet because I'm nervous. But I really hope she agrees."

Ana said and lifted one of her eyebrows" I mean, he didn't say that and haven't we learnt not to just assume things with these men?" " He's just not any man, he's Adam, he's my Adam" Riley said with a big smile then stood up and went over to the mirror to touch her hair. " listen to me Riles, you don't want to put all of your hopes on this one man. Yes, we know he is your Adam, but, men can switch up at any time. I'm not saying you shouldn't be excited about tonight, i'm just saying you shouldn't conclude that he's gonna be popping the question" Ana said " But if he does pop the question then i'm happy for you, congratulations"

I ask him. “Everything is done.” He said. “T-that’s good.” I said. “I’m going to ask you one last time again,” He said “Are you sure you will do this?” He said and looked away. “I’m not, but I need to.” I said. “We can find another way---” He tried to say.

“What's going on? Tell me already.” “Well. You know already that as final year students, there are so many parties to attend before we graduate.” I began. “You have been to more than enough events with me since the session began. There's one last one, although a new one could come up later. But this is the last one.” I promised with a smile and continued. “I was wondering if you would like to come with me. I don't know. We could cancel it if you won't be there, though. You know what I mean.” “Of course. I understand you.”

One final time. *I know I don't deserve it. I know I have no right to ask. But I'm not asking for me. I'm asking for her. So she can have closure. So she doesn't spend the rest of her life wondering if she should have said goodbye to her father, even though he didn't deserve it.*

“Been practicing. You have to move on somehow.” I don’t know what to say to that. So I ask the one thing that’s been bugging my mind… “Did you ever miss me?” ***

I want to ask his thoughts about finishing the mating ritual with me. Every inch of my body wants to make him mine, but it will sound ridiculous and possessive to ask him to seal the deal, so I ask him something entirely different. "Can I please call you mine?"
