I managed a smile. “I am Maya Delaney, I am here to see Mr. Banks… Yes, Mr. Williams Banks,” I introduced myself, the words came out a little shaky.

Maya patted his arm tenderly. “That’s great to hear, my love,” Spencer looked at her grinning. “Where are we going?” Maya asked as soon as they were heading to the opposite direction of Spencer’s parents house. “I thought we were going to have dinner with your parents?” “Remember Gemma Banks?” Spencer asked and watched Maya’s reaction. She smiled and teased him. “Are you going to have a date with her?” Gemma Banks is the only child of Banks Holdings, also a large company in Westfield. Spencer didn’t hide from Maya that Gemma Banks had her eyes on him.

Davin continued softly, “but war changes people. And I adore watching what it reveals.” Maya sat in her car outside the building, hands clenched around the steering wheel.
