I suck in a breath and softly mumble, “Yeah, maybe you’re right. My friends are here, too. I’m sure they would also help.” She gives me a tender smile and a loving look. I sniffled. “ What is there to talk about?” “ I'm lost, Lisa. I'm genuinely confused and torn inside, I don't know what to do or how to feel,” I cried. “ I need someone to talk to, someone who understands.” “ Kayla…” “ I don't know anymore, Lisa. I don't know if staying and holding on to Ricardo is the right thing to do,” I cried. I desperately need to talk to someone. Lisa stood up, her posture stiff. "I'm afraid I'm not the right person to confide in, Miss Kayla. Perhaps you should speak to a family member or a therapist."
