I fished it out of my pocket to find a text from an unknown number. ‘Meet me by the lakeside close to your house by eight tonight. Don’t keep me waiting’ “What the fuck?”

Three dots… From Anonymous: “You think so?” To Anonymous: “Meet me at the North Fountain. That's if you have the guts to.” I hit send. Then, I leaned against the cold stone of the balcony, my eyes fixed on the fountain ten feet below. I wasn't there. She took a deep breath in and I could practically see the wheels turning in her head. "When and where is the meeting?" Sam asked her Father. "In the morning and at the edge of the training grounds by that large tree you and Troy used to climb." he answered. I saw her furrow her brow at that. "How did he describe the location?" she inquired. "Just like that, "Meet me at 6 am at the edge of the training grounds. I will be waiting by the big tree that Samantha and Troy used to play in." he replied. Samantha sat in silence for another moment and then nodded.

Tomorrow. 3 p.m. Central Park. Bethesda Fountain. Come alone. Bring the cash. I don’t have half a million.

As soon as I walked into the foyer it seemed there was a party going on. I tried to find Clara as I walked through the crowd. And finally find her with a couple of her friends in the garden chatting and laughing. As soon as she sees me, she rolls her eyes and whispers something to her group of friends and they all laugh while eyeing me. I give a little wave and she walks towards me. "What are you doing her Mia." "Hi Clara can I talk to you outside for a minute?" "Yeah sure let me get my mom." She pulls me outside and goes to get Lucy. They walk me out of the party and into the dinning room.

I informed her. "Alright then, there's a cafe downtown where we can meet. Alar te' is the name. Let's meet there, yeah?" Belene offered and I nodded even though she could not see me. "Yeah," I finally responded. "7 pm tonight sound good?" I added and she hummed in response. I ended the call and left the room.

“What do you mean by ‘real past’?” “I can’t divulge too much over the phone. It’s sensitive information. Can we meet at the park tomorrow? I’ll share everything you need to know,” he urged. I glanced out my window, spotting the towering trees of the park nearby. “What park?” I asked cautiously. “The one on Main Street, by the old fountain,” he answered. “We can meet at noon.” “Noon?” I repeated. “Why not somewhere public? I don’t know you.” “Trust me, the park is a good spot. I assure you I’m not dangerous,” he said, his voice soothing yet unsettling. “But if you don’t come, you may miss a chance to discover something significant.”

That said, I do have some questions I'd like answered and he would be just the person to ask. I replied back; "Sure. Do you want to meet in the morning? I'm free after I take Charlie to school." I notice that it's time to meet the bus so I put on a pair of sneakers by the door and grab an umbrella as it's lightly drizzling outside.
