Callie asked, looking down at me. “He told me to meet him at six in the alley by Tavern Road,” I replied, sitting back up. “I know that road, we pass it all the time going to school.” Callie said, “Do you think we will be able to sneak out with SCFA guarding the place?” Callie tried to be serious till the finish, but it couldn’t be helped, we both laughed. “I don’t know, they seem to know how to keep people in,” I said I grinned.

When the timer beeped for dismissal, I packed my tools in precise order, wiped down my station until it gleamed, and tugged my backpack onto my shoulders. The hall outside was noisier, filled with students spilling between classes, but I moved through it like a ghost, hugging the wall. My phone buzzed with a text from Mariah. "Break time, bitch. Meet me at the fountain." I exhaled. At least with her, I didn't have to pretend quite as hard. When I reached the fountain in the quad, she was already there, perched on the stone ledge, iced drink in hand and sunglasses shoved into her curls. She grinned the second she spotted me.

I know that I need to make amends, to show her how much I love her and how sorry I am for everything. Without hesitation, I pull out my phone and send her a text. "Hey, can we talk? Meet me in the garden behind the mansion. No one ever goes there." I wait anxiously for her response, my heart pounding in my chest. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, my phone buzzes. "Okay." I let out a sigh of relief and head towards the garden. It's dark, but the moon is bright enough that I can see where I'm going. I find a bench and sit down, waiting for Fiona to arrive.

ADRIANA The afternoon goes by easily and around 8 PM I get over to the town square, we always meet up there before we take a run through the forest. The towns square is a bit plain, it has a few benches, cute colored bricks and a fountain in the middle.
