Though the smile doesn't reach his eyes. “Thank you” I said, climbing out of the car and shutting the door I step to the side as I wait for him to drive off before walking to the house to meet with my brothers, already dreading the conversation we are about to have. They are my younger brothers and I practically raised them but we rarely fight and this is the first time we have had this kind of altercation and I feel really bad about it. He was trying to convince himself, not me. “Okay,” I replied, offering a light shrug. He didn't say another word.
